Cape May Cafe?

Hey everyone! I'm going over our restaurant choices for ur trip in July. We'll be there from July 10 - August 6. We will go to the parks for 2 days (a park in the morning, relax in the afternoon, and a park at night) and then every 3rd day will be a day off to check out the resorts and other Orlando destinations (we have Titanic - The Exhibition and Forever Florida planned). We will be eating breakfast in the condo on our park days, snack around the park and then have dinner back at the resort. We will be having a few lunches and desserts at the parks, though. Anyway, out of the parks on our off days so far we have planned breakfast at Chef Mickey's, breakfast at Boma, breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe, dinner at OHana, dinner at ESPN Zone, dinner at Margaritaville and dinner at the Makahiki Luau at Sea World. We were thinking we'd really like to try the Cape May Cafe. The only day we can fit it in, though, is the day we go to ESPN Zone for dinner. Is it worth it? Do you think we should go for it,or just stick with what we have? I've heard great reviews of Cape May Cafe but I'd love some extra advice. Thanks!

Re: Cape May Cafe?

We really loved our breakfast at Cape May Cafe - I actually far preferred it to Chef Mickey's. It had a much more relaxed atmosphere with more time with each of the characters. But if you're already doing Chef Mickey's and are looking for different characters than what you get there, you won't find them at Cape May Cafe. They feature Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale.

Re: Cape May Cafe?

Melissa,

Are you thinking for breakfast or dinner?

Cape May Cafe is one of our favorite character breakfasts - - very laid back with great character interaction and wonderful food.

The seafood buffet at night is okay . . . I probably am not a good judge because our last experience was there was during Hurricane Jeanne when food and staff were running low. I have eaten there several times at night, but I think I would prefer something else.

So . . . my vote is yes for breakfast, no for dinner.

Re: Cape May Cafe?

We're planning on going for breakfast. We're not big seafood fans (my mom loves it, I like some fish and my dad and bro hate it!) and I've heard a lot of not-so-good reviews about the Clam Bake. I wouldn't try that, but the Cape May Cafe for breakfast looks good!

I really liked our breakfast at Cape May. Chip and Dale were wonderful fun. Also we had private time with Minnie Mouse.

I haven't eaten at Chef Mickey's so I can't give you any advise other than I enjoyed the relax fun at Cape May Cafe.

We loved our breakfast at Cape May. The food was good, & the characters spent a lot of time with the kids. It really does have a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Re: Cape May Cafe?

The character breakfast buffet is great at the Cape May. Chip and Dale are hilarious! And the food is very good! It is a relaxed and enjoyable time. I have also eaten at Chef Mickey's and it is pretty loud and there are many many people! We enjoyed our meal there and we did get to see Mickey and Minnie - for just a short time. I would highly recommend the breakfast buffet at Cape May. Enjoy your time in sunny Florida! How lucky for you that you will be there for such a long stretch of time!
