I am doing a quick Mom and daughter trip next month. We are staying at the Wildreness Lodge because DD is a hotel snob- wants only a deluxe, learned to read star ratings too early in life and it's an affordable deluxe. One of my concerns is that after a long day in the parks, she likes to relax, watch TV and eat dinner in the room. We usually have at least one room service dinner meal and sometimes breakfast. The menu for the WL looks really limited. Will I find more selection when I'm actually there?

We've stayed at the ALK and the CR and don't recall having a problem with room service variety. I've found the deluxe food courts to have good food but not the greatest variety.

It's been a while since I used WL's in-room dining. Actually, the menu over at AllEarsNet is more extensive than the one I remember. Unfortunately, it lacks the wonderful romantic dinner for two package they used to offer - quite a bargain when you figured-in the value of the included bottle of bubbly. Note, though, that the posted menu is from October 2003. Still, I wouldn't hold out much hope that it's gotten longer, considering that most of the restaurant menus at WL are also fairly brief. Why don't you call the resort and ask at the front desk? Maybe you can also order from the regular restaurnat menus, too.
