| Birthday girl\'s dinner ---- need suggstions!!! OK . . . so DD Emilie's 4th birthday is March 9th. We'll be going to WDW on March 12th and the evening that we get there, we are going to have a little birthday party in our room (cake, decorations, the whole shebang). The only thing I am having trouble figuring out is where we should do dinner that night!!!
We already have PS's over the course of the 10 days we'll be there at:
Plaza Restaurant
Chef Mickey's
Hoop-dee-doo
LeCellier
Ohana (breakfast)
DH, being the big baby he is, is pushing ESPN Club on me . . . and I have a feeling that DFIL is going to start in soon as well!!! DMIL and I are adamant that it is dinner for EMILIE's birthday, not the boys!!! DH's deal is that he will miss March Madness basketball otherwise!!! (OH WELL!!!)
SO . . . if you were turning 4, and you were at Disney World, where would you want to have your dinner?
(Please help!!! ) |

| Re: Birthday girl\'s dinner ---- need suggstions!!! I'd either want to go to Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace...
...or my ultimate birthday meal...
PIZZA!
Have you asked Emilie what she wants yet? Once you narrow it down, give her the choices, and see what she says!
Good luck!

| Re: Birthday girl\'s dinner ---- need suggstions!!! I was going to say the Princess Storybook dinner in Norway too. I guess the big question is What is Emile's favorite? I know my son is 4 and he picked Toy Story Pizza Planet for his special meal last time we were down. I think with adults we complicate it more for ourselves than we need to. My son is way happier at McDOnald's than even a character meal so I ask him where he wants when its his choice. |

| Re: Birthday girl\'s dinner ---- need suggstions!!! I don't think the Norway Princess dinner starts until April! My dd's 4th birthday is March 12th! We are going to 1900 Park Fare for Cindy's feast! We are also doing lunch at the Crystal Palace that day. If you decide to go to 1900 Park, we need to try to say hello! Our PS is at 7:00!
PS - mine will be 4 as well! |

| Re: Birthday girl\'s dinner ---- need suggstions!!! Thanks everybody for the suggestions!!!
I was really thinking of 1900 Park Fare as well. But then I started thinking that it was more ME who wanted to go . . . I have seen too many pictures of Prince Charming on here!!! I also pitched that idea to my in-laws (who will be paying for most everything on our trip) and they both said "Don't you think that is a bit pricey for a meal?" Which to me was a BIG red X on that idea!
DH and FIL are still h-e-double-hockey sticks bent on ESPN Club. I don't know WHY they just don't get it!!!
I sat down with DD and the Passporter and asked her about lots of places. She said "I like food with Pooh Bear!" The only snag with that is that DH, DD and I could go to MK with no problem for dinner (we have FL res. seasonal passes) BUT MIL and FIL said they'd rather not waste a day of their park admission for that short amount of time in a park (which I would have told them not to anyways!)
SO . . . we were back to square one . . . I asked her "What would you like to do?" She asked me "What are my choices?" So we went over everything again AND . . .
She chose McDonalds and mini-golf.
So we decided that once we are settled in and unpacked a bit at the resort, I will send DH, FIL and DD out to the playground while MIL and I decorate the room. Then we will meet them outside and head off to have dinner and a round of mini-golf. Then we will come back and do cake and gifts.
It is kind of nice having her at the age where she can help make the decisions!!! I was just hoping she might want to go somewhere that she COULDN'T go everyday!!! Oh well!!!
Thanks for the suggestions (especially Crystal who made a good point about the ol' Golden Arches ) !!! |

| Re: Birthday girl\'s dinner ---- need suggstions!!! You could look at it this way, you can take the money you will save from this birthday by doing McDonalds and put it towards her wedding cake as we know it will be an elaborate choice. |

| Re: Birthday girl\'s dinner ---- need suggstions!!! Glad to help with the decision. I know what you mean about wanting to do something you can't at home, but nearly every time we are at WDW, we end up at one of the McDonald's. The last time we were there, I noticed a huge McDonald's on the way to Animal Kingdom from the BWV. We didn't go, but it looked HUGE. |
