Need advice PS meals and kids

Ok everyone..I need your Disney eatery knowledge here. I am getting ready to make priority seating and here are the places I am thinking of (we will be there 6 days, 7 nights)

Crystal Palace Breakfast or early lunch for son's 3rd bday (first full day we are there)

Ohana Character Breakfast

Chef Mickey - probably breakfast

my questions are these..

1. with a 1 and then turning 3 yd old is there any character or ps meals I MUST do that I have not listed? Both kids are boys.

2. When we do Ohana and Cheif Mickey...what park would be best to do afterwards...what is closest or easiest to get too?

3. Given we arrive on the 27th of April and my son doesn't turn 3 till the 28th, Disney (reservations) told me I don't need a park pass for him for the whole time!! I assume however that I will have to pay for his buffet ..is that correct or does the same rules apply to that (age at beginning of stay)?

Thanks in advance

Re: Need advice PS meals and kids

Those are definately must do's (boy that doesn't look right). I took my boys (then 8 & 2) to Gulliver's at the Swan with Rafiki and Timon. They also had a buffet as well as an ala cart menu. There were just a few tables with families so we got tons of time with them and the kids loved it. I wouldn't rule out 1900 Park fare. We did both breakfast and dinner. I had booked it more for me and my mom, but the kids were absolutely in awe of Cinderella (prince Charming is there too)and of Alice. I've also heard good things about The Garden Grill.

I hope this helps.

For both Ohana and Chef Mickey's the MK is the easiest to get to as it is on the same monorail loop. To get to Epcot I am not sure if they have a direct bus from those hotels (I have never stayed at either) but you would just switch monorail trains at TTC. And then to get to any of the other parks you could simply take one of the busses from the hotels to any of the other parks. But MK is the closest.

Magic Kingdom is the easiest to get to afterwards. You just take the monorail. But any of the parks are do-able from there. I'd do MK in the morning after your meals, and then after going back to the resort for a swim and nap, I'd do something else in the late afternoon. (This is me assuming you're staying on property.)

May I suggest that you make those PS right away. If you arriving April 27 you are already into the 90 day mark. I'd make them for 8-8:30AM if possible and then go straight to the MK. (As long as you aren't talking about Saturday. Never go to the MK on a Saturday.)

Re: Need advice PS meals and kids

The closest to both of these would be the Magic Kingdom. Chef Mickey's is at the Contemporary and O'Hana is at the Polynesian. Both of these hotels are on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop. It would also be pretty easy to get to Epcot. You just take the monorail from either of those resorts to the Ticket and Transportation Center and transfer to the Epcot monorail. If you would want to do MGM or Animal Kingdom either of those days, you can easily take a bus that goes from either resort to either park.
Hope this answers your question.

Both of those hotels are wonderful. You'll enjoy either one.
