DINING OPTION

Good evening all.....Has anyone tried the new dining option?
It seems like a great deal, since we have never been able to afford places like Chef Mickey or Cinderella's Table.
From what I have read it looks like you can have a nice "sit down" dinner every night and a pretty good lunch as well. If anyone could share their experience, it would
be great.

Re: DINING OPTION

Hello! You asked a very good question because I was also wondering the same question. We just booked our honeymoon in WDW and we did the MYW with dining included and I agree that it looks like a really good deal. I will look forward to reading the responses to your post. Sorry I wasn't able to answer your question but I just wanted to thank you for asking a great question. Thanks again and good luck in your planning.

Re: DINING OPTION

We did the similar plan back when it was the gold plan on our honeymoon. We thought it was very much so worth it b/c we were able to go pretty much where ever we wanted and enjoyed eating at a lot of places we couldn't have afforded otherwise. This time I'm still debating only b/c of the restaurants listed and the ones that are 2 wishes a piece... We plan on doing a couple of dining packages so I'm not sure if it's worth it to us.

But if you find restaurants you want to eat at each night for dinner and counter service places you like for lunch then I think it's worth it. Since it's $35 a person it would be $70 for DH & I. So to break it down to see it's worth we do this:
lunch: estimate $20
dinner: estimate $50-60 if not more (at a sit down)
snack: $10
So total in a day for two people would be: $70-80

Just my opinion.

Re: DINING OPTION

We booked the dining add on pkg for our upcoming trip. We'll probably eat at a couple of places we wouldn't have because of the cost. My DH likes one sitdown meal per day. He can go with the flow for the rest of the meals. We have ressies for HDD which will take 2 table service meals but we want to do the Fantasmic dinner pkg and you can't use this dining plan for that pkg. I'm going to have to keep a list of where we eat and the price of each meal. I'll work the numbers when I get home. We thought it was nice to know a certain number of meals and snacks would already be paid for by the time we get there. Less meal money to have to budget later. I'll be interested to hear from others who have tried this dining pkg.
