| Re: JIKO or BOMA????? Hi Ann,
I think you should stay with Jiko. I have eaten there aand I believe your DH will be able to find something he will like. I have had the filet minon there and it is great. Try the dessert sample it is great and has a little of all the desserts on the menu. It is big enough for two.

| JIKO or BOMA????? Definitely stay with Jiko. Steer your husband to the Beef Filet with Macaroni & Cheese. - This is NOT yellow Kraft mac n cheese. - My DH thinks he's a meat and potatoes personality but I think that in all the many times we've dined there while he tries different appetizers he sticks to their signature beef entree.
Bob, curious what's in the dessert sampler? That wasn't on the menu when we were there last time in October. |

| Re: JIKO or BOMA????? As I recall, the filet comes with a side of maccaroni and cheese! I was concerned that my friend Bob would not find Jiko to his liking (he was pretty lukewarm on Boma), but he had the filet and has even said he would go back!
It is a lovely venue. Let the exceptionally trained staff of CMs assist you.
If you haven't already, go on over to allearsnet.com and check out a menu.
But I would just go for it.
Enjoy! |

| Re: JIKO or BOMA????? Hi bert & sully,
I don't remember if it was on the menu. I was looking at the dessert menu and could not deside. My waiter said they had a sampler if I wanted to try it. Then again they may not offer it any more. It was September 2003 that I ate there last.

| Re: JIKO or BOMA????? The dessert sampler was available in January when we were there. It isn't on the menu. An appetizer sampler is also available, but that isn't on the menu either. The dessert sampler is five desserts, I think. They are the chef's choice, so it could be a bit different every time. Both the samplers were fantastic! JIKO was the best meal I had on our last trip, we will be going back in May. |

| Re: JIKO or BOMA????? I'm afraid I'm in the minority here as I was very disappointed with Jiko. I thought the food was okay but very overpriced for what we received. We far prefer Boma with its African marketplace atmosphere and its wide array of delicious foods to choose from at dinner. If you've only done breakfast here, I think you will be delighted with the wonders to be found here at dinner.

| Re: JIKO or BOMA????? I have had the Filet Mignon over Mac and Cheese (not your ordinary M&C) many times. Wonderful. He'll love it. |
