Whispering Canyon question about ketchup **Spoiler***

Ok I have heard this all over. We are not going to WC but I have to ask. What happens when you ask for ketchup?

Re: Whispering Canyon question about ketchup

I don't think we should spoil the surprise. But I'll whisper it - if you ask for ketchup, your server will announce to the entire restaurant (and most of the lobby since it's done as a yell) that "This person/table needs ketchup." Then everyone in the restaurant has to get up and bring you their bottles so that your entire table ends up filled with ketchup bottles. It's hilarious!

Re: Whispering Canyon question about ketchup

not to be a jerk about this, but you might want to edit the title to include the word spoiler.

i've never seen something so well guarded on every site i've read (ketchup is always mentioned in accord with wcc, but nobody ever mentions what happens) and this is the 2nd time i've seen what happens mentioned on passporter (the first was in the chat room).

Re: Whispering Canyon question about ketchup

If you watch the Great Hotels on Travel Channel, Samantha Brown stays at the WL and eats at WCC. She asks for the ketchup and they show what happens to her - so it is not that well guarded of a secret.

Re: Whispering Canyon question about ketchup **Spoiler***

We ate there in July and I have to tell you - WHO you get as a waiter/waitress makes all the difference in having a FUN -or- DULL evening. I anxiously awaited all the FUN we were supposed to have at this restaurant. Then we arrived and were seated with the DULLEST waiter in the place. I kept waiting for him to do some of the things I'd heard about, but NOTHING! It wasn't any more than eating at any other regular place for us. Our waiter was so totally BORING! I asked him about some of the things I'd heard about and his response was that those activities "weren't his thing"- that only some of the waiters/waitresses did these things... so if you go, I hope you get a FUN waiter / waitress... otherwise it's not worth the time or money IMHO.

Re: Whispering Canyon question about ketchup **Spoiler***

When we went the waiter brought an entire case of ketchup to the table next to us when they asked and then he proceeded to drink a full bottle of it (It was probably tomato juice.) He was a riot!
