Disney Dining Questions

Can we use every sit down meal as a character meal?

Also, I read somewhere that kid Disney Dining is considered the same as an adult. So.. could I "in theory" pay for my daughter's meals with cash and save the Dining credits for another meal? I'm not sure about this.

Re: Disney Dining Questions

Yes, every table service meal can be a character meal. Isn't that cool?

And yes, you can pay cash for the kids' meals and use their credits for adult meals. It's not divided in your balance - it just says X number of TS, X number CS, and X number of snacks.

Have fun!

Re: Disney Dining Questions

Not sure if you can split the meal up that way, part cash part meal plan. you will just have to ask your server. probably would be much easier for server to do one or the other.

Re: Disney Dining Questions

I don't think you can do that anymore. The Dining CM told me that they used to put a bulk deposit on one ticket but now each persons credits are on their own resort ID -- and that credits on a childs ticket can only be used for the child's dining. It's my understanding that this is a fairly new part of hte dining package because people were paying the child dining price and using them for adult dining.

Re: Disney Dining Questions

We just got back from WDW using the dining plan. Each person has a room key that says how many adults and children are on the plan. So I'm not sure you can use your child's meals for an adult, since the card says how many adults/children are on the plan.

You only need to present one card/room key to your server or cashier - any card will do. We first thought each of us would show our card to check out, but that wasn't necessary. And every receipt showed the total number of meals left on our total plan.
