I understand if u stay at a wdw resort you can purchase a mug does that mean u get free refills through out the park of drinks or only in the hotel u are staying at

It's just for the resort you are staying at.

if it was good for the parks that would be amazing...too good to be true though huh? Even with only at the resorts we easily get our money's worth out of the mugs and they make a great souvenier!

It is a great deal. Many guest carry their mug with them as they leave the resort during the day. Often we may eat at another food court (resort hopping) & use it for lunch or a snack there. We see many families also do this & never have a problem. I didn't ask but I assume it is fine.

you are only supposed to use them at the resort you stay at though I don't think that they have mug police in every food court.
