International Food and Wine Festival Questions My husband and I are arriving the last day of the International Food and Wine Festival. We were wondering if anyone has had the joy of experiencing it? What was it like? Is it expensive? Any help, experiences, tips, ideas, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: International Food and Wine Festival Questions You will Love it!! We don't make any dinner reservations on the nights we do the Festival - and we basically "Eat around the World". The food is offered in sample sizes, basically the size of a small appetizer and the prices range around $3-4. After about 4 or 5 of them (the price of an entree at one of Disney's table service) you are quite comfortable - then you can work on dessert!! And don't forget to sample the wine. Here is a link to a website that has Last Years Booths as well as prices!! http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/ep/fw05/fw05c.htm Have a great time!

Re: International Food and Wine Festival Questions We LOVE the FWF. Have been several times. I think the World Showcase really come alive when the FWF is in the world. If you are a wine drinker, the wines are supposed to be awesome. The food is awesome and at some of the countries you get a pretty good sized portion of food for a reasonable amount of money. We LOVE the Cheddar soup. You will have an awesome time. Happy eating and drinking. They have some awesome musical acts as well. There is a list of who's performing but i don't know the link. noreen

Re: International Food and Wine Festival Questions We LOVE the F&W festival. As others have suggested, the basic strategy is to "eat around the world," sampling the wonderful food and wine choices. IMO, each item is not particularly expensive, but it adds up. This is our fave time to visit the World. Enjoy!

Re: International Food and Wine Festival Questions My tip would be take a walk around World Showcase before you buy anything. I started in Canada and by the time I got to Mexico, I wanted to try what they had available but was way too full! Also, share with your husband so both of you get a taste of everything! (Even with sharing with my friends and family, I was full!) Have a great time!!

Re: International Food and Wine Festival Questions Food and Wine is awesome! We do it every year and love it. We find it to be much less expensive than having dinner at Epcot. We start at Mexico and eat our way around the world. Normally, we get a couple of things from each country and share it between the three of us. Except for the crab cake at America which I have to have all to myself! We plan a night at Food and Wine for our dinner and it has worked out perfectly each year. Enjoy yourself!

Re: International Food and Wine Festival Questions Another fan of FWF here! DH and I had to cancel reservations at California Grille because we loved eating all the goodies so much. We were on the dining plan, and the FWF items counted as 'snacks.' But, you could definitely make reasonably priced meals out of them. I agree - share with your DH, that way you guys get to try more. Get the info they pass out about the festival, so you can see what each kiosk offers. And since you're going at the end, check out Allearsnet.com before you go, to see if they have detail up about this years offerings. It's definitely a fun dining experience, sampling all the foods from around the world!

Re: International Food and Wine Festival Questions As much as I love the food... the wine tastings and samples are what keeps me going back ... just be very wary of 'drinking and walking.' I've seen lots of folks a bit tipsy while trying to drink their way around the world... (Thankfully, though, I haven't seen anyone completely out of it... mostly just a bit giddy and having a very swell time!)

Re: International Food and Wine Festival Questions I adore the FWF!!! I take the night off from dining w/ADRs and eat and drink my way around the world. The same sized servings allow me to try all different kinds of foods!!! It is really an enjoying experience.
