Food and Wine Festival We are going to the FWF this November and I'm so excited. I have wanted to go for several years now and it is finally working out. Does anybody have any suggestions or comments? We are going to the Party for the Senses, but that is the only event we have signed up for. What do people wear to this? When I made the reservations, they said women wear cocktail dresses. I didn't ask what men wear. I don't want to be overdressed but don't want to look out of place either way. Thanks.

Re: Food and Wine Festival We are also going in November but only for a few days 11-2-06 th 11-07-06. This is also our first time but we didn't make any special reservations. My DH & I were just going to wear casual clothes, but now I am wondering if we will be underdressed. Thanks for asking that question and I'll be looking at the responses you get. By the way, what dates are you going? Catherine

Re: Food and Wine Festival It's our first time at the Food and Wine Festival as well and we're going to Party for the Senses on 28 October. When I phoned to book my tickets, I got told that the dress code was "smart / casual". I took that to mean a nice pair of jeans or cropped trousers and a nice top. I didn't get any more guidance than that from the Cast Member.

Re: Food and Wine Festival Not first time FWF for us but is first time we've booked Party for the Senses. CM I spoke to said no jeans, no flip flops and collared shirts for men. I'm figuring a pair of crop pants, sandals and nice shirt for me. Khakis and polo for DH. As for the rest of the festival...we've been 5 times and love it! Getting to taste all the different dishes, going back for faves little wine, lots of entertainment. Be sure to check All Ears site for the Eat to the Beat concert schedule, too. Upon arrival at WDW you'll get an event "program" that shows the various booths, free demos, tastings, etc. Be sure to look that over and pick out the ones that are must do's. (For us it's a much shorter list if we pick the "can pass".) We split our eating around the lagoon over a couple days but that will depend on how many days you have and your plans. It is definitely a great time!! Liz

Re: Food and Wine Festival My suggestion is to relax and have a great time. My husband and I go every year. We just really enjoy walking around (and around and around) sharing samples of the food. I don't share my wine sample (usually!) Sounds like everyone else gave you great advice on the attire for the event you registered for, but definately you don't want to sport the too casual look with jeans/shorts/flip flop etc. Best bet for men, khakis and polo/golf shirt women: nice simple dress like a sheath or nice capris and nice shirt. Enjoy the entire event, we love it so much we spend a couple different weekends attending.

Re: Food and Wine Festival Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm glad to hear everyone has enjoyed it so much. We have wanted to go for the last 3 years, but this is the first time we've been able to work it out. We are going Nov 8th-12th. I'm soooo excited!!
