| Does anyone ever.. diet prior to going to Disney? And what do you do to motivate yourself to stay on your diet? I just looked at old Disney home videos today, (snowday, Massachusetts Nor'easter), and I was much thinner back then! I'd love tolose about 10 lbs. before our April trip, (although more would be nice!) Everytime I start I only last about 2 weeks, lose 1 or 2 lbs. then give up!

| I just weight lift a lot... work on building muscle. It makes you feel much better because you actually "feel" in shape. Just the thought of being on vacation in WDW having fun without worrying about everything I am eating motivates me! But I have never gained weight in WDW. I try to not go crazy with sweets (one or two a day) and walk a lot!

| I am trying to lose the rest of my baby weight. To keep on track I just keep reminding myself how I looked in our Disney pics in Dec. Good luck! Darcie

| DSIL is about a size six and is *ahem* well-endowed. We are going on a whole-family trip in June and I am currently in Weight Watchers. I cannot imagine how I must look in a bathing suit next to her WW is great, it's not cheap, but having a little-grandma type weigh me every week keeps me motivated. Who wants to let down a grandma? |

| I am on that path right now. I have a weight loss counter (ticker) at the bottom of my posts along with the countdown to vacation! As you can see I have a long way to go. BUT, even if I dont get to my ultimate goal before vacation at least I will be lighter than I am now. Good Luck! Liz |

| I took off some "holiday" weight before we left (that would be holiday as in Christmas not holiday as in vacation!) but still felt awful in my summer clothes. AND yes, I DID gain weight at Disney despite all that walking, thankyouverymuch. I'm hoping it'll come off fairly easily. (I have lost, to my goal weight, about 50 lbs over the past few years and made WW "lifetime" last year, but holding the line is hard and I've crept up some.) My motivation was trying on my summer clothes before we left--the lily-white winter skin was all bad enough, the "muffin top" above my shorts even worse...next time I'm trying on the summer clothes LONGER before I leave!

| Losing weight is always part of my reason for returning. Last year before my trip I weighed a whoping 335lbs (i am 6 ft 4 though). I walked everynight after dinner (which helped with the park walking) and by the time we arrived at Disney I was down to 300 lbs. I lost 35 lbs in 4 months. This November I want to be 235lbs by the time was return. I am close as I am now down to 285lbs. I find the best exercise is the kind that preps you for your Disney trip. Walking mainly... Anyway you cut it, you are going to be at Disney, and sure enough you will forget your worries... That is until you get home and realize how much you at on your dining plan HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

| I am trying to loose a bit of weight before we go back in late Oct. Last 2 times I went I has very serious about loosing a little before I went and was rather successful. (To different degrees) The first time I had a much more motivating goal as we were planning to renew our vows 3 days before our trip. I purposly bought a dress that was 2 sizes smaller than I needed so I would have to loose the weight. I tried it on every two weeks or so and ws very pleased to find I could zip it higher and higher every time. Imagine my surprise when it was a tiny bit big on the big day!! I also post little notes to myself when I am trying to loose weight. I am a nervous/boared snacker and will feed my face at the drop af a hat. I write things like "Your not really hungry' and "Walk, don't eat!" where I will see them often. As I'm in the car a lot, the dash of my car works well for me. reminds me I don't really want that McDonalds. And most important, don't sabatogue yourself by buying snacks "for the kids and DH". You know as well as we do, if they are around, you will eat them. Buy fresh fruit and veggies and snack on them. Anywho, good luck and check in w/ us to let us know how you are dooing. As I am just starting today, I hope we both meet our goals!

| Losing weight is such a pain in the...well, you know what. I enjoy food too much is the problem. I exercise everyday, which helps me maintain, but I would still like to lose the last few baby pounds i have left (my baby just turned 2 mind you). WDW isnt usually a problem. I usually eat what I want and walk off the rest. It also helps that we go in Sept and it still feels like a ..sauna outside Anyway, Everyone keep up the hard work. It's not fun, but there is nothing like the feeling of getting back into an old pair of jeans that hasn't fit siince I dont know when. Good Luck everyone

| I am losing weight now for myself and my health. Since I found out I have arthritis in every joint in my body and my spine I decided it was time to get off my behind and try harder. As for Disney, I have ate like a pig every single day I was there and actually lost weight because of the walking.

| To motivate - put a current picture of yourself next to a picture of you at the weight you want to get back to and put both of them on the front of the fridge (in the pantry, cupboard, etc.). It makes a great reminder!

| I have been at WW for 16 weeks now and have lost 25 lbs. I would tell anyone that it is the way to go. I had been trying on my own to lose about 40 lbs for 5 years and could not do it. Now I only have 15 to go and have made a lifestyle change that will keep it off. Weighing in each week is a motivator for me as I challenge myself to lose at least 1 lb per week but I average 2. There have been weeks that I have gained (like through the Christmas season) but I have taken it back off easily. (I sound like a commercial Good Luck! You can lose weight!!

| WW I'm on my 17th week of WW and am down 31 pounds - it is the way to go for sure. Easy, and you're always full. It is a lifestyle change....and a good one.
