Using a debit card for food

Sorry I'm posting again, but all of you are alot more help than anyone else. Since they don't have Dinning Disney Style anymore which I loved. And the dinner packages were highly overpriced with no flexibility. I was thinking of leaving the imprint of my debit card with a Master card logo with the Hotel. What do you think?

Re: Using a debit card for food

If you are staying on-site and purchasing an UMP, you can have a set credit limit put onto your roomkey/park pass. (I don't kow if you can do this without purchasing the UMP.)

We charged a lot of stuff to our room key and just paid it off when we checked out. It was very simple!

Re: Using a debit card for food

There's no need to purchase a UMP to do this.

You're asked whether you want to attach charge privileges to your room key(s) when you check in. You shouldn't have problems using a Visa or Mastercard-sponsored debit card for that purpose.

Re: Using a debit card for food

We charged all of our food and drink to the room (we activated our cards/passes as others have explained!). It makes things alot easier. I'd keep a little cash on yourself from smaller things.

By charging, you have a record of your food/drink expenses for budgeting purposes for that next trip (no keeping up with receipts!). Surprisingly, we stayed under budget!
