Character Breakfast vs Morning Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom?

I just realized that I booked a 7:40 character breakfast (at our hotel the beach club) on the same day there is early Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom. Should I try to swith the date of the character breakfast?

Are the early hours at MK worth it?

Traveling with my husband, sister-in-law, and my 3 & 5 year old girls (their 1st trip to the "world").

Help!!!

With children the age of yours, I'd say the early hours at the Magic Kingdom are worth using. We've found we can get through almost everything in Fantasyland in the first hour on an EMH day. By 10 am, lines can be a half hour or more.

If you still want a character breakfast, you could do a late breakfast/early lunch at Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace. We've gone over to Chef Mickey's, then either back to the Magic Kingdom or over to another park.

Happy planning,
Melissa

I would book an early breakfast on a day WITHOUT EMH--this gets you into the park earlier than everyone, the park is empty and it makes some great photo opps (pics with the Walt and Mickey statue without a ton of people in the background).

As the other poster said, use the EMH to get an early start on rides and eat a late breakfast in the park those days.

We find EMH at MK (AM) well worth it, as we can pretty much get everything in Fantasyland done before the gates open up to the rest of the crowds If you could reschedule your breakfast to another day, I think you might be better off

If you are at MK why not do a late breakfast at Crystal Palace. We did breakfast there this year and it was great. I guess it depends on which characters you want to see. I would definately take advantage of the morning EMH.

I agree with Mickey Rules. We always plan our Breakfast at the Crystal Palace on a day that is not EMH. Its so wonderful to walk around the nearly empty park and take some great pictures. Have a great trip!
