Average Food Costs

On average, how much does it cost for 2 adults at counter service eateries for lunch or dinner?

I have a ballpark figure but want to see if I am way off...

Thanks

Re: Average Food Costs

I would have to say $5-7 for main course, $2-3 for beverage. The only counter service we dined at were both at MK.

Casey's Corner on Main Street (long hot dog, fries & large soda @$10.
Pecos Bill's Cafe in Frontierland. There I had a big hamburger only (it was listed on the menu as a meal, but I asked for the sandwich only because there was a BIG toppings bar with sauteed mushrooms, onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato, etc.) & Glenn got a hot dog meal that came with a drink & fries - total was under $15 for the both of us.

Hope this helps!

Go to http://www.wdwig.com/dining.htm - you can see every menu for every restaurant at WDW and the cost. This really helped us with our meal planning!

Re: Average Food Costs

Hi Statelady01: Like everything else at the World you can spend as little or as much as you want even at the walk up/ counterservice food spots. For 2 you could get away with as little as $15 to $20 or as much as $50, it all depends on want you are looking to eat. Good Luck and Remember the Magic. 11 more days to POR. Jerry

Re: Average Food Costs

Remember, too, that the counter service portions are a good size. Dennis and I split these many times on this last trip -- he's a big eater, I'm just average (and yet, he's thin, and I'm...). We also found that the child-size hot dog/fries/drink combo was the perfect size for us (that is, we each got one of these). Saved some money, and we didn't feel so overly-stuffed. You can also order items ala carte, if you just want a hot dog without the fries, for example.

The kids meals were around $3.50 each, the adult meals around $6 (without a drink). We tried to drink lots of water and avoid the sodas, especially during the hottest part of the day.

Hope this helps!
