Question Downtown Disney Restaurant...Help Please!

I have all of my AR's made, but have found a small problem. I have not made a ADR for the evening we will be in DTD. I thought originally that we could just pick up a CS at Earl of Sandwich, but I'm really tempted to book at Rainforest Cafe. I know they don't take DDP, which dosen't matter because I've already booked up all of my allotments. My question is: Has anyone recently been to RC? How was it? Is the expense worth the experience? I've also been looking at Raglan Road. Help Please!

We just ate at Earl of Sandwich last week and it was my favorite CS hands down. The sandwiches were REALLY yummy and the kids devoured their grilled cheese sandwiches.

I would just go to EoS!

The last time we ate at RF at DTD we really loved it. Plus if you have little ones they really like all the noise and motion of the animals. However, if you have really little little ones - the noise and movement may scare them. If that's the case, see if you can request a table more by the fish tanks vs. the moving animals, etc. Anyway, its a low key of enough restaurant to really enjoy and its not too pricey. We loved the Earl of Sandwich too.

We just ate at DTD RF in October and thought it was great as always. We love the food and big menu and the kids still are amazed at the animals and sights. I also like that it is usually full of action so I do not have to worry if the boys have a temporary meltdown that everyone in the restaraunt will hear.

Just be sure to call for reservations at RC ahead of time. Last June, the walk-up wait time was 2 1/2 hours!!! Remember you need to call Rainforest directly to make your ressies as it's not Disney owned.

I really didn't think it was all that great, but you'll find plenty of people who enjoy it's atmosphere and the food. I haven't tried Raglan Road (I'm due there soon on our upcoming trip.) But I have heard good things so far.

Earl has great sandwiches and if you're watching your budget (who isn't?), it's a great inexpensive meal choice.

My new favorite DD place is Portobello Yacht Club. Yummy!

I don't hate RC, it's just not worth the $$$ to me. Earl of Sandwich is always yummy and a very good value. If I'm doing a TS in DD, I'm going to be at Wolfgang Puck Cafe, West Side by Cirque. Awesomely awesome all three times we've eaten there. Fantastic.

Have fun!

Didn't think RC was all that great. Another vote for Wolfgang Puck! We loved it. Large enough menu, everyone's sure to find something to their liking.

My husband and I LOVE Raglan Road. We went two nights in a row last summer. The evening entertainment is a lot of fun and very good. The prices are average by Disney standards for a sit down restaurant and the food is amazing. Even though you might not really think of it as a place to take kids, we saw lots with their families while we were there. When I've dined at RFC, I haven't been impressed, but we also don't have children to entertain either! Hope this helps.

The Rainforest Cafe is okay but just like all the other Rainforest Cafes all over the U.S. and Canada. I do enjoy the counter service meals at Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck's is nice as well but my personal pick would be Raglan Road. Book at an ADR for around 9:00 and ask for a table where you can see both the band and the Irish dancer. We have spent two exceptionally enjoyable evenings at this establishment with great food and excellent service. The Tusker Rock band is nothing short of incredible.

I had a sandwich and salad at Earl of Sandwich last week. Probably one of the best tasting sandwiches ever

I can't say enough good stuff about Raglan Road. We ate there with my parents and it was TO DIE FOR! Honestly I liked the food better then California Grill If you can get it...do it!

RC is not worth the money imho. Earl of Sandwich is fabulous. We loved Raglan Road also, but I don't think the kids would enjoy it
