Cake photos.

Has anyone ordered a customized cake for a birthday, anniversary or any special event? Anyone have any cake photos to share?

We are getting a "mad hatter Un-Birthday" cake for my three boys at 1900 Park Fare. Having Thanksgiving, Christmas and MLK day Bdays, they sort of get jipped as far as the whole bday celebration go so we ar throwing them a bit of a celebration while in WDW (DDs Bday actually falls while we are there) I was so excited today when they told me they could make a mad hatter cake. I did have to pick up my jaw off the floor after she told me the price, but I was still excited regardless

Anyhow, has anyone had any good experiences with cakes in various locations?

I hope people post cake pictures as I really want to get a great cake for my dd's 13th birthday in June and I want to see all my options. I know it will be expensive but it's worth it. I just don't know if I should do it at the restaurant where we are having dinner or back at the room at the Poly.

Here's our yummy cake from the WL in 2005:

It was very light and not cloyingly sweet. Vanilla cake with vanilla frosting hit the spot for my vanilla-loving DS!

We also had a white cake from the Contemporary last year. Also fantastic, BTW.

I have a Dalmatian cake ordered for my DD birthday in May from the Polynesian to be delivered at Ohana and will post pics of that one for you. I know they are a bit of "sticker shock" but they sound so yummy. Hers will be vanilla with strawberry and custard filling.

This is my DS12 cake at Ohana's breakfast. I bought the Stitch figures for them to add to the beach theme. They can't do Stitch as he's a pixar character I was told.
They did a great job, the cake was delicious, it was the strawberry and custard filling.

I hear that Grand Floridian does alot of very special cakes, you have more options than most restaurants.

Please post pictures of it. I would love to see what a Mad Hatter cake looks like.

My husband arranged for this one at Chef Mickeys for my birthday. (I was 40, but Miss Minnie's typo made my night!)

Vanilla cake with a custard filling! It was sooo good! I will post it for you when I get home this evening. (sorry I have all my pictures on my computer at home!)

Has anyone gotten one from LTT? Are they all from the same bakery anyway, so they can make whatever we ask for?

We'd like to get one for my DSIL in Sept. We will actually be there ON her birthday, plus it's her first trip EVER to WDW. So we really want to make this trip special!!!
