Victoria and Alberts

Hi everyone,
My family has been to DW at least 12 times but have never eaten at Victoria and Albert's. Always did the character dining, and the dinner shows but now my husband and I are finallly going to treat ourselves. I am retired from teaching, he retires in September, and we are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We feel that we can now behave ourselves when we eat......well at least I can, haha. Has anyone done V and A's recently? Is it worth the money? You spend so much on a typical Disney World vacation that I want to make sure I get more bang for my buck. We love California Grill and Artist Point as well. We would save alot by booking there. Opinions? THanks!

We ate there in Sept '05 and it. We're sending our parents there in June for their 49th Anniversary. I really was questioning if we wanted to spend that on a meal when we went, but it was worth every penny. I highly recommend it.

I haved done CG or AP yet, but I also love Citricos and Jiko. But there's no comparison between those restaurants and V&A. V&A and your 40th Anniversary are a perfect combination.

I second that comment entirely. We went October of 05 for our anniversary, and it was hands down the best meal we've ever eaten...and we've had some awesome meals

We've eaten there twice, the most recent on our wedding anniversary in 2006 and on both occasions, we have loved the whole experience. It really is worth every penny you pay for it - it's the ultimate dining experience and I hope that we'll soon make it third time lucky there. Yes, it's an expensive treat, but it is just superb.

I agree. It's worth every penny and a class above any other restaurant at WDW.

We've eaten at both CG and AP and while both were wonderful meals, they are nothing compared to the experience of V&A's. We ate there for my 30th b-day in 2004 and it was the best meal of our lives.

We have dinner at V&A's every trip. Most times it is on our last evening and tops off what has always been an amazing vacation. I spent 25 years in the restaurant biz and V&A's is top shelf in every detail. Worth the money? ABSOLUTELY. Our 2007 dinner was very special because it was our 30th Anniv and they really made us feel special. CG & AP are terrific but V&A's is at least one level above that.
