| If you were only going to eat counter meals If you were only going to eat counter meals for 4 days, Where would you go for your meals & what would you eat? You would be doing 1 park a day & also have downtown Disney & resorts to choose from.. Deb

| For the Magic Kingdom, either Columbia Harbour House or Cosmic Ray's. In Epcot, probably Kringla Bakery in Norway. In the Studios, we struggle for counter service places to eat. In Animal Kingdom, probably Pizzafari now Tusker House is no longer counter service.

| Mara at AKL and Riverside Mill at POR have some great salads. My family likes pretty much everything at Mara. I wasn't as fond of Roaring Forks at WL. The Tangeriene Cafe at Epcot is one of my faves. We always get a dog at Casey's Corner in MK. My group also loves Bratwurst in Germany.

| Don't forget Beaches and Cream at Beach Club. Always a good place to eat. CS also has Pepper's Market, which has a wide variety.

| AK: Love Flame Tree BBQ (meals are HUGE here, splitting is good!) EPCOT: Cantina de San Angel Cafe, new to us this trip..love it! better than the TS version MK: we go back to the resort usually and break up the day HS: we don't usually eat a CS there, BUT 50's prime time cafe, although considered TS, has GREAT food and the prices are rather comparable to something like Big Boy or Applebee's. It is sooo worth it.....pure FUN!!!! DTD: thats a no loose situation. We really like Wolfgang Pucks but Earl of Sandwich is a must do for us!!! Every trip!! Water Parks....well, they leave a little to be desired. LOL |

| AK - Flame Tree: love everything on their menu and I love to go find a table down by the water to eat. MK - Columbia Harbour House: I love their Tuna Salad sandwich MK - Pecos Bills: another favorite. I love their Chicken Salad - freshly tossed seasoned chicken, jicama, lettuce, vegetables and cheese in a lime vinaigrette. Yummo! DHS - I've heard good things about Studio Catering ~ I just haven't tried yet. We used to go to Backlot Express but we had a not so wonderful expereince there last time. Nothing icky just bad management of staff. Epcot - DH would say Fish and Chips in UK but they're just okay with me. I usually go to Tangierine Cafe in Morocco but you have to like that kind of food and I do. In Epcot, I'd definitely go international. I like to sample something from each country like a Churro or taco from Mexico, YakiKori from Japan, sweet pretzel from Norway.... etc. Now I've heard wonderful things about the cheese soup in Norway but you have to buy it with a sandwich. I want to try just the soup. I've heard it's almost better thatn Canada's. Next time I'm going to ask if I can have just some soup. ![]() Another CS I 'discovered' in May was the bakery in France. Now I've been in there many times for something sweet but never for a light 'meal'. I got their ham and cheese croissant and it was totally ![]() Since you're going to be there at Christmas and probably want to check out the resorts Christmas deorations ~ you might think about their CS for dining options. AKL serves Zebra Domes (dessert), and BC Marketplace has some delicious sandwiches and there's wonderful places to sit outside. Don't forget to go to the GF and buy a gingerbread shingle. I adore Earl of Sandwich at DTD. When I was there at MF last year, I ate my sandwich outside and there was a trio of Holiday singers performing at a little stage just to the side of the restaurant. ![]() Now, I know that you're not staying at Pop but I love, LOVE their CS. They have an Asian Chicken Salad that I crave even now. My last tip, I bought a refillable mug and filled it up each morning before hitting the park. I finished just about the same time that I entered the park and I hooked it onto my purse with a clip. Then during the day when I would check out the Christmas decorations at the various nearby resorts, I'd stop at their CS to fill up my mug. Then each night at my resort, I'd fill up with hot chocolate before heading off to bed. I know the Pop's CS drink station stayed open til midnight. Often they're making new hot chocolate at 11:45 at night. I hope that you have a fun and fabulous solo trip to MF. Mine last year was the best trip ever.
