Dessert on Quick Service Dining Plan

What kind of dessert do you get when you are eating Lunch or Dinner on the Quick Service dining plan? Do you get to chose or do they just give you a standard desert like a piece of cake or a cookie?

The dessert is typically a choice of chocolate cake and carrot cake, but sometimes you can get frozen lemonade, cookies, and ice cream treats.

The way the brochure reads it sounds like you get to pick what is off the menu. I know in the past when we were on the dining plan and we used a quick service credit we were able to pick from what was listed on the menu. Hopefully this hasn't changed.

usually cake( choco, carrott, cheese), or we had a "frozen" lemonaide ( something to the effect). or it could be something from the bakery if you eat in one of the resort cafes. Hope this helps.

Unless it's changed in the past 6 months, you do get to choose from the menu, but the options on the menu are usually limited to the desserts mentioned above (chocolate cake, carrot cake, frozen lemonade) at park restaurants. The resort restaurants do often have more choices (as does Sunshine Seasons at the land, where you can choose from most desserts at the bakery station).

I just got back on the 3rd and was on the qsdp. You get to choose off the menu but unless you're at the resort food court where you can choose from their bakery items or Sunshine Seasons in Epcot's FW where you get to choose from an assortment of Nestle candybars your choices seem to be limited to chocolate cake or carrot cake. Although I did see chocolate chip cookies listed on the kids menu several places but never thought to ask about getting that instead of one of the cakes.

It depends on the CS restaurant you choose. At Toy Story Pizza Planet, I got a Mickey Rice Krispie Treat. At the food court at the resort, I was able to chose something from the bakery section (giant cupcakes!!). But most places offered either chocolate cake, cheese cake, or carrot cake.

Has anyone ever been able to substitute some sort of fruit for the dessert?

Thanks,

Jennifer

I would think that if it was offered on the menu at that spec. qs eatery you could, but I'm just speculating. Come to think of it there was fruit at POP. not sure if it was interchangable dessert or snack thought.
