Well...I just tried this for the first time...just playing around---just to see how it works. We are scheduled to be at WDW for a weekend doing free dining in August and I was lucky through a WDW travel counselor to have a previous time for lunch at Le Cellier at 2 which was a little late for us so I thought I would check availability. After no success at all for ANY Le Cellier reservation, I tried the week long check and that was cool but still not reservations until I snagged one on July 3 at 12:35pm. I didn't book it so if somebody needs one, searching within a weekly range first for the hardest to get restaurants seems to be a good strategy, then plan your trip around those hard-to-get spots.

I know that till they get some of the snags worked out, I wouldnt rely on it for any hard to come by ressies, or must have times..... Id use it to fill in with the less popular ressies.....

on a related note touring plans recently did some research on the new 90 days system.... they claimed the ONLY restaurant you had to book on 90 was Lecellier...even Cindy's was day 85...I am not sure I believe that but thought I would pass it on...

According to the Disney rep I spoke to 6:00 AM EST is the earliest you can book a reservation the day your window for ADRS open.

Reposting a piece of my ADR thread here with important info about the dining online reservation system.

My ADR Experience

On the phone with Disney Dining I could not make a reservation for 8 people at one table at Artist Point (the 2 CMs I spoke to both got split tables for the reservation). However I found with the online reservation system that I could make a reservation at Artist Point for 8 people at one table. (I was making these reservations under my SIL's reservation since she is getting to disney 2 days before we do).

At this point I called by Disney and they said that if the onlines were showing it as one table then it was one table and that the onlines must have additional tables to what their system has available. I made that reservation online than called Disney back and yes, it was showing as one table on their system too. So you can make reservations online that you can not make via calling Disney Dining!

Most likely it's a bug that the info between the system does not match as far as availability but it's something to keep in mind if you can't get a particular reservation.

Great info Tracy M. Thanks for this. It will probably be a while until Disney can work out the small quirks out of the system. Just a matter of time as it's still early and has only been up about 5 days so far.

I made all our ADRs this morning. I was able to get everything when I wanted it except Le Cellier, no surprise there. I made 13 reservations and it took me about an hour. It took me longer than that last year on the phone with no waiting.

My only complaint - retrieving reservations, you have to put in each confirmation number individually, even though they are tied to our room reservation.

Who knows what data they are even storing with the dining reservation record, they might not be storing the associated resort reservation as they only require you to use the resort reservation number if you are making a reservation in the 90+10 day period.

However they do make you give an email address and a phone number when making the online reservations so they could let you do a query based on those.

Most likely in the future they will add functionality to the system like better printing options and better query methods, for the first roll out I'm sure data entry accuracy and system stability were the first priorities.

I'm just wondering who all my emails yesterday went to when I tried to use the email to function and I was told that it worked successfully without ever receiving the emails

I was able to call up 10 of the 12 reservations I made with a CM. Not sure where the other 2 are. I started out with 8 of 12, 1 magically appeared after trying several times over a couple days, then I found the 10th one this morning by using my cellphone #. I've been able to retrieve the reservations I made online (when I was tweaking some times) without a problem. I got all the emails I sent to myself so I'd have a written confirmation of my res #s!

Is there a space on the On-line ADR system to add any special information like allergies? I have 2 sons, both are allergic to peanuts and treenuts. But, the youngest is allergic to things that are not even on the CM list when you talk to them and they have to make a special note. Or, I guess I could make them on line and then call a CM later to put in the extra allergy information. I just feel better talking to someone when I'm dealing with their allergies I guess.

Well it's after 7am on the day the window opens under my own resort reservation and I've associated my reservation and it's showings the dates of 9/20 to 9/30 for my reservation but the +10 isn't showing up so it's back on hold to Disney Dining to do it the old fashion way.

There is a place to add that information as well as information about celebrations on the system. I played with it the other day, and found that the info for celebrations can be added after the ADR is completed (which means I actually ended up making an ADR that I had to cancel), but if I remember right the place to put info about allergies comes up before that.
