Food and Wine Festival - not counting as snack credits this year?

I just read on another board that snack credits will not be able to be used to purchase the items from the food stands this year.
One person said they spoke to two different CM's who sounded like they picked up a paper, read it and said "Oh yeah, here it is, it says that you can not use snack credits at the F&W Festival."
I arrive the second day of the festival, and we were planning on using ALL our snack credits at Epcot! I am a real foodie and have been really looking forward to being there during the festival. Has anybody heard anything about this, or is it just something I will have to wait til we actually get there to find out if we can use snack credits or not?

Boy, I hope you're wrong. We've used snack credits at the F&W Fest for the last several years and it will be terrible if we can't this time!!!

I'd like to know the answer to that as well. We are going in October and were planning on using our snack credits for F&W.

I would wait until it really started.... or shoot WDW an email...

The Mom's Panel answered a question- keeping open the loophole ;-)
Moms Panel | Walt Disney World Resort * I love this panel, i read it almost everyday!! We are planning our vacation for mid Oct. during F&W festivel at EP. Can we use our snack credits at some of the "visiting" kiosks?

I hope that's not true for everyone going. We found it was a great way to use our snack credits.

Hmmm. If that is the case we may have to change our plans a bit. Maybe we'll use our snack credits for breakfasts and pay OOP, using Visa rewards dollars, for F&W tastes.

That doesn't sound good. We enjoyed "eating around the world" on our last trip, and were looking forward to it next year.

Oh No

We have 2 days planned to eat lunch with our Snack Credits. It's too late for me to save anymore money for the trip. I'm not sure what we'll do if we can't use the credits.

I sure hope this is not true. May have to think about taking the DDP off of our 3rd leg of our trip, if we cant use our SC at F&W.

This wouldn't surprise me, honestly. Since the dining plan is free for probably most who are booked for the fall, they probably want to make SOME money, so they figure they'll not allow for snacks, knowing most people will pay OOP for the F&WF anyway.

Total bummer for those of you going and on the plan, though. I hope it's inaccurate information!

YUCK!!! I would understand the reasoning if they did do this...but it would severely limit how much we eat at F&WF. We too planned on lunching through WS one day......but there's no way I could afford to do it OOP. Last year we used 13 credits I think...that would probably be at least $50...that's way too much for DH and I to spend on lunch. *Sigh*...I will make a back-up plan.

Gee...what on earth will we do with 24 snack credits now????
