| Alcohol price increase during free dining? Our last big trip to WDW was in 2007 and if I remember correctly the specialty drink prices were about $8 for most of them. During this trip the specialty drinks are approx $10-$11. Did this increase occur to compensate for free dining or has the prices been increased for awhile now? The alcohol prices definitely have us drinking a bit less than usual at WDW which isn't necessarily a bad thing but the prices did take us by surprise. |

| We had a drink at the pool side bar at POP this trip (Rare for us) and I almost had a heart attack when DH paid the bill. I know I'm frugal, but some on. $35.00 for 3 drinks? I don't know if this was high because it was durring free dining or not. It was high though. |

| Any specialty drink in a vacation atmosphere is usually $9 to $12 bucks in my experience. Beer usually a little cheaper.

| They were in the $8 range last December, but rose higher before my vacations in March and June... so I think it was just a general price increase. Eileen

I don't think it has anything to do with free dining. The prices of everything are just going up, generally.

| I heard about you coke fiends back in the 80s. I didn't know any of you were still around! As for me, I'll stick with good, old fashioned booze. "Destroying Lives since before the time of Jesus!"

| I thought the prices had already risen once when we were there in October and, then in May, they seemed even higher again.

| Well, there goes my plan to have a Yak Attack and a Grand Marnier Slushie. $11-12 bucks is insane. That's more expensive than on DCL!
