1900 Park Fare opinions needed

When we go to WDW in Jan/Feb CP will be closed for refurb..... But never fear, that means we can fit 1900 Park Fare into our schedule for the first time . Here's my dilemma....breakfast or lunch?

I would really appreciate your experiences and what each meal had for pros and cons. I know we should go and experience it ourselves and everyone has different servers and experiences, but I would like to get an "idea" of which might work better for our family. I won't mention which one I'm leaning towards because I want to hear uninfluenced opinions.

Thanks.

We've never done lunch there but breakfast at 1900 PF is now our favorite character meal. The food is excellent, with lots of choices and the many of the characters are "face" characters who talk to us (sometimes quite extensively). The characters spend a lot of time at each table too.

The choice should be simple. As far as I know, they don't do lunch at 1900 Park Fare, just breakfast or dinner, so of your two choices, breakfast would win.

While the food at my breakfast there did not wow me. The Character interaction was wonderful!!!! My server was forgetful but so charming that I wasn't upset. His name was Albert and he had a wonderful laugh. But he totally did not get why I asked him if Mary had to tell him sad stories at Tea time.

We ate at 1900 Park Fare about 2 weeks ago for breakfast and really enjoyed our time there, the food was tasty and the characters spent a lot of time visiting with my nieces.

I had sent my SIL & family to Chef Mickeys on their first day in WDW before we arrived and they preferred the food at Park Fare to CM.

I'm not particularly a fan of character meals, but 1900 PF is my absolute favorite one on property! I totally recommend it!

Weve done breakfast and dinner and breakfast is easily our favorite.
In both cases, the food is nothing unusual -- other than the strawberry soup it's pretty standard formal buffet fare -- but the characters are great fun.

Love b'fast with the cook to order eggs, pecan rolls and the such....the characters mad hatter alice mary poppins are fun too.......

dinner is normal fancy buffet food but it is cinderella themed with stepsisters etc.....DGD3 just loves it.....

So both are great. Just according to which characters you want to interact with the most.

Never been for dinner, but had breakfast there for the first time in June and loved it! The breakfast is pretty much the standard Disney breakfast items, but any place that has made-to-order omelettes is a winner in my book!

We haven't had breakfast there but we all enjoyed our dinner, the character interaction was probably the best of our whole trip and we all enjoyed the food, as others said much of it standard fare but I love their mashed potatoes and we all went up for seconds.
