Question How to best use snack credits on DDP?

Does anyone have advice on this? I want to be sure I know all the different places / ways we can use our snack credits. Thanks!

Here is an up-to-date list of all items that are "purchasable" with a snack credit:
2009 Confirmed Snacks in DDP - The DIS Discussion Forums - DISboards.com

Generally, anything under $4 that is a single-serving item is considered a snack.

To maximize the value, it would be better to purchase bottled water ($2) with cash and save the snack credit for something like a fudge brownie sundae from Mrs. Potts ($3.99).

If you're going during the Food & Wine Festival, the offerings at the booths are some of the best snack values, according to reports. Some of them are priced well above $4, but have the DDP snack credit icon next to them and can be picked up for a snack credit.

Good luck using them all up -- it can be delicious fun!

I found that thread a few weeks ago. Someone in the thread a poster formatted the list as a pocket guide -- I've printed it out to take with us into the parks.

The best value seems to be the lobster roll at the American Adventure pavilion - it's $7 and counts as a snack credit! DH is so proud that he found this out; so when we were there we used it and not only was it great deal, but he raved about how good it was too! Just FYI if you're looking for some "bang for your buck"...and like lobster!

In my opinion, the best thing on the snack credit list is the chocolate-covered strawberries in HWS. Oh, they are yummy!!

The best use of a snack credit is during the F&W fest. If you cant make it down during this wonderful time of year, change your plans JK!! I would suggest going to the bakery either on Main Street or at the Boardwalk and pick up something for breakfast in the morning. This way you can eat in the room while getting ready for the day and you will still have your CS and TS for the rest of the day

I know this won't be a popular answer but we use our credits for what we feel like eating. Particularly towards the end of the trip. The first time we were so stressed about getting the most value for our snack credits that we ended up with a bunch at the end. Sure we used them for stuff to bring home but I felt silly buying stuff just because we had credits after paying OOP for a soda or chips because it wasn't enough bang for my buck! I think the best plan is to have a few big ticket snacks that you plan for (lobster roll certainly sounds good!) and then use the rest as needed.

We used our at the F&W Fest too! So many yummy things to use them on. But according to my DH the best use of snack credits is Dole Whip... as many as possible

Thanks everyone for the advice and the link. We're missing the F&WF, but we'll still be ready to snack!

During our trip the best use were the smoothies at Auntie Gravity's in MK. They made for a great breakfast and were nice and cold. Refreshing in the August heat.

We use our snack credits for a "midnight" snack during EMH.
We have our TS for Lunch and our CS for dinner so by 11 or so we are ready for a sugar rush.
We do NOT use them for drinks. We carry a water bottle for that.

I found just trying to force a TS meal and a CS meal both with desserts down in one day a struggle ... so most of mine went on bags of sweets for family for when we got home but they enjoyed them.
But you have to at least try a crispie treat

I copied it into word, used the four columns, adjusted margins so that when I cut the page in half it fits in my passporter deluxe binder.

I also split it so each park has their own page so I can take only that page to the park and reference the snacks. I am looking forward to lots of snacks.

The last time we were at WDW, I took all our remaining snack credits to the MK candy story and got FUDGE before we left. Then I ate a small piece everyday for two weeks. It was heavenly!

we also typically end up with a cache of snack credits at the end of our trip, just because we're so busy we forget to use them so I like to pick up rice krispie treats, fudge, fun cookies, stuff like that to bring back for "just in case" or surprise gifts for my friend's kids when we do use them for ourselves we like the Dole whips, Mickey bars and mom loves the frozen chocolate covered bananas (because it feels less like cheating on a diet if there's fruit )
