What happens to CRT ressie if you drop DDP?

Right now, we're "signed up for" the dining plan, and we have a breakfast reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table. What happens to that reservation, if we decide to drop the DDP? Does that reservation automatically go away? Or, can we call Disney dining and pay for the reservation with a credit card? Or, can we pay when we get there?

We're debating dropping the dining plan, but don't want to take a chance on losing our CRT ressie.

It shouldn't affect your reservation. I made a reservation there last year and I was concerned with leaving the credit card and getting charged for it when we planned on using the DDP. So, you should have already given them the credit card information at booking.

Make sense? I know this isn't an "official" answer. But I am 99.999% positive your reservation will not be touched. Someone else will explain it better, I'm sure. :-) But don't worry.

Thanks, emilyandlogansmom! From your fingers to the cast members ears. I hope you're right! We have a little princess, who is SO looking forward to this breakfast. And, she's going to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, first, to make sure she looks just right.

As long as you're planning on keeping the reservation it shouldn't be a problem if you end up dropping the DDP. You probably had to leave your credit card info when you made the ressie anyway. When you get there, you just tell them to put it through on your credit card instead of on the dining plan. However, if you're a "no show", then they will charge your credit card for the meal if you don't cancel it in advance.

No, we absolutely want to keep the reservation! There's no way we wouldn't show up! Olivia would be heartbroken.

I was just afraid dropping the dining plan would trigger something in their reservation system that would cause all the pre-pays (CRT) to "go away" or cancel. Sounds like we should be OK, though. I hope. I hope. I won't rest easy, though, till we're actually there and they call the Royal Inkydinkydoo family upstairs. I'm such a worrywart (as my grandma used to say).

I would call to double check....just to be safe. We aren't on the DDP and had to pay the full amount when we booked it.
