| DDP for 1 adult and a 5 year old who has done all character dining before??? We have been quite a few times in the last few years on the dining plan and have done all the character dining we are interested in and ate at all the restaurants we like. Wondering if this time it is more economical to just POP for smaller/quicker meals and new new stuff in parks she has never had interest in before. Any ideas??? This goes along with the "ever changing my mind on everything" thread |

| I guess it comes back to how many table service meals you're looking at - would there be some under the title of "trying new stuff"?

| How long are you going for? Are there any favorites you might like to revisit? It is always cheaper to go without TS dining. But for us, eating well is half the fun!

| Part of the fun for us is dining at sit-down restaurants since when we are at home, we seldom eat at restaurants. Are there restaurants that you really liked that you'd like to do again? Would you like a sit down meal break in your day, especially in an air conditioned restaurant, if you're going during the warm months? Are you adventurous eaters, or burger and chicken kind of people? Personally, I would go with the DDP. It forces you to plan your days and insures that you make time for meals. But ultimately, the decision is up to you.

| I think the draw of the dining plan for me in general is that it's paid up front, you get snack credits so you look like a superstar to your kids when the say "Can we get a Mickey Bar?" and you're like "SURE!" , and it's just less hassle to not have to hem and haw over a menu debating whether to get something based on the price of it. So, if I had to make the decision I would go with the dining plan. Now, only you can decide to go with the DDP or the QSDP....that would depend on whether or not you will do a TS every day! Good luck with your decision!

| When I take one of the kids by myself, we don't do the dining plan unless it's free. We prefer to pay out of pocket and get exactly what we want (we don't usually need a dessert with every meal and we sometimes just want just a little something.... not a full meal). Works for us.
