| Dining plan credit Q On this trip we're going to have the QS dining plan. For two days we'll be touring with my DB, DSIL and DNiece who are FL residents and will be dining-plan-less. I know the materials say you can't use your dining credits to feed other people. Yet I also hear about folks using DP snack credits to buy ice cream for strangers in line and spread the magic. So how does it work? Does the system just know we have 2 adults/ 1 child on our plan and not let me buy more than 2 adult meals or 3 snacks at a time? If DH and I are going to share a meal, why can't we also use a credit to buy a salad for DSIL?

Some CMs will be strict about this and only allow you to order that, and others are looser about that rule. There's nothing saying that you can't go in one line and order a meal for your whole group and have your husband go in another line and order a meal for your whole group. Eileen

| My girlfriend comes to see us for a day usually when we are in Disney. Last time she had a brand new baby and a 5 year old. Her husband was deployed at the time and she couldn't work yet so money was tight. I told her to use one of my credits and I ordered for everyone and it was fine. No one said a word |

| You can order what ever you want- if youwant to pay OOP thats fine, you dont have to use a meal from the plan-just tell them as you order that you want to use one cs and pay for one oop- not a big deal- at all

| When we were at the Studios a couple of years ago, we met up with family friends for lunch at the ABC Commissary. Their DS hated the meal he ordered, and I had extra CS credits, so I went back and ordered a different meal for him. It was not a problem at all.

| So basically, as long as we don't try to pay for more than 3 meals/snacks at a time, we're okay?

| On our last day we each had 2 meals left and tons of snack credits. I used most of those credits at goofy's candy co. The rest I used in our resort food court on divies egg free cookies. Then we each used our 2 meal credits left for food for the ride home. We told the CM we didn't want any credits left, were about to leave so that's why we were doing it that way. She was okay with it. So I think it depends on who it is at the register |

| Thanks everyone! We're doing breakfasts on our own and having one TS meal together, so it's probably only one lunch and a couple of snacks where this will even be an issue -- assuming we don't eat our way around World Showcase before we even meet up with them!
