| CS at DHS (And MK) We've never worried much about our CS meals at WDW -- we'd just grab something wherever we happened to be. But this trip we're doing the CS dining plan, so I think I should pay a bit more attention. I realized we have never eaten at a CS restaurant in DHS! What ones do people like? Any we should avoid? Since we won't be doing any TS places there are there any CS places that are better themed/more fun than others? For that matter, the same Q would apply at MK -- the only places I recall eating at are Casey's, Columbia House, Pinocchio's Village Haus and Cosmic Rays (which DH says he won't go back to). We'd like something a bit more interesting than burgers and fries. But "CS" restaurants conjur images of cafeterias, so it would be nice to identify the more interesting places in terms of decor as much as menu (which I can read online). An "OOPS Update" -- silly me! We aren't eating CS at MK. We're only doing a half day at MK and have a ressie for Crystal Palace for dinner. So it's just DHS we need to worry about.

| I'd avoid the CS' on the street leading up to ToT our family ate at each seperate one (there were six of us with different opinions as to what to eat that day) and the food was bland, and all around not that great (mine tasted horrible) I prefer Pizza Planet

| We eat at Pizza Planet or Backlot Express at DHS. As for MK, we usually eat at Pecos Bill's. Yes, they have burgers, but in August they also had a fried chicken dinner plate (with gravy) that DH got!

| DHS - Pizza Planet is my fave. I love the breakfast menu at the ABC Commisary, but not so much the lunch/dinner menu. There is also that one place next to Indy and across from Star Tours whose name is escaping me right now. I've never been to it, but it's all one location instead of the market-style set up on your way down to ToT. MK - Columbia Harbour House is my fave. We tried Pinnochio's this last time and it was very crowded. We ended up on the 2nd floor on this narrow little walkway. The food was good, but I'd avoid eating here at busy times. Cosmic Ray's is good, but it's so busy and crowded, I've found that it tends to get a little messy in there.

| We enjoyed Pizza Planet as well...the slices of pizza were huge and surprisingly good!

| At DHS when we are there during the day we usually grab lunch at Backlot Express. If you want something different than burgers and fries at MK, why not take a little time out of the park and head over to the Contemporary and go to the Contempo Cafe for dinner? You can easily walk over to the Contemporary and then back to MK after. It's about a 10 minute walk one way. They have a fairly decent menu and it would give you a little out of the park craziness time.

| At DHS I like Pizza Planet. For your QS dining credit you can get a personal pizza, a small salad and a Mickey Rice Krispie Treat or cookie. It was very good. At MK, I like Columbia Harbour House. Eat upstairs if you need a quieter location for dining. I don't know where you're staying, but some of the resorts have good quick service with interesting menus.

| At DHS we usually eat at Pizza Planet or Backlot Express. To get something other than a burger in MK we actually like Cosmic Ray's for the chicken and bbq rib meal

| I agree with Pizza Planet and Back Lot Express. I would avoid ABC Commissary for lunch or dinner, never had a good meal there at all. Yuck.

| The one counter service that we've really enjoyed at the Studios (and we haven't eaten at many counter service places there in fairness) is Starring Rolls.

| My two favorite CS at DHS are Backlot Express and Starring Rolls. At MK, I really like Columbia Harbour House. For breakfast, the Main St. Bakery is very good. I've always wanted to try Tomorrowland Terrace, but it's only open seasonally, so I may get to try it (finally!) in December!

| There is one CS place on street leading to TOT and Fantasmic that serves Turkey Legs as a meal which pretty good. I'm not sure of the name. if u see Turkey Legs on menu thats the place. The ice cream shop practically right next to it has very good Sundaes for dessert. Its at end of block near TOT. I've heard great things about Pizza Planet but haven't had chance to try it.
