| Candelight Processional Dinner Package Hi there-- We are going to WDW Dec. 12-16, and are thinking about the CP dinner package at Epcot. How hard would it be during this time to get into the CP without the preferred seating--say on Sun, Mon, or Tues night? If we do decide to try to get the package, what's the best deal? We would have 4 adults, 3 kids ages 15, 13 & 2. The 2 year old would be free, but the 13 year old is a super picky eater, so I am sure we would not be getting our money's worth anywhere on his meal--that said, what's everyone's recommendation? I hate the thought of 4x$60 + at Le Cellier for our immed. family, but I know he'd at least eat steak. Are tax and tip included in the package price? Help! Oh, and we are not doing the dining plan, if that figures in at all. Thanks everyone! |

| In my research and experience, you would have terrible seats (if any seats at all) without booking the dinner package. The seats fill up very quickly from the stand-by line (those with reserved seats from the package). So, you would 1st have to wait in that long line only to hope you get a seat. Also, you may want to call Disney Dining before you consider where you want to eat. I feel pretty sure Le Cellier is already sold out. I booked the CP package 2 weeks ago for Dec 4 and there were NO Le Cellier reservations left. Good luck with all your planning! Shelly

| We've never seen short lines for the Candlelight Processional, even on weekdays. In our experince, it's packed every night, with people without the dining package often lining up two to three hours before the show to try and snag a seat. We've seen the line for those without the dining package back into Italy. ![]()

| Trying to get in without the package is near impossible, regardless of the day of the week. As for restaurants, at this late a date, your best bet would be to call Disney dining and see what's available. The Candlelight Processional package can only be booked by calling, it cannot be booked through the online system. So give the CMs at the Dine Line a call and see what they can find for you. I'm sure they could find something available for you. If your 13 year old is a picky eater, some suggestions might be Garden Grill, good basic food like turkey and steak, Rose and Crown, Tutto Italia (pasta). Check out the menus on Deb's Unofficial Walt Disney World Vacation Information Guide - WDW Planning Guide - Walt Disney World But definitely give the Dine Line a call and see what they can find for you on any of those three days and be willing to take any time they can find for you.

| What happened to us may have been a fluke, but we went the first week of Dec. last year and didn't get to the theater until 10-15 minutes before showtime (we had the dining package) BUT, there were tons of seats left in the unreserved section (we ended up sitting there because I misunderstood where the reserved section was). This was for the second show of the night. Like I said, maybe a fluke but that was our experience.

| I had the package and still waited for 45 minutes in a line that stretched from the American Pavilion to Morocco. It quickly dissipated once we were let in, but I was flabbergasted that this was the line for the reserved section. I would have hated to see the other line. ![]()

| We did the CP without a package on Tuesday, Dec. 16th of last year . . . waited in the stand-by line for about an hour or so and were maybe 50 people back in the line. We made it in with no problem and our seats were great (maybe halfway back in the theater and about 3 seats off the center aisle). It is ceratinly possible to get in without a package. If you are going to do a package though, I would suggest that you try to make a reservation ASAP. I have heard that a lot of dates are already completely booked for all party sizes! ![]()

| Thanks for all the great info, you convinced us to definitely try to book a package, and my DSIL got us into Rose and Crown! We love their fish, so hopefully the other food there is good. I still don't see how Disney figures $15.99 entrees translate to a $38.99 lunch package price, but I guess it's worth it if we don't have to worry about not getting in to see the Candelight Processional???I am just glad DSIL got us in! Go Sheila!!! ![]() |
