Best non-character meal

We are heading down in March and I was wondering what the best non-character meal we be. My kids (13 & 10)don't want to do a character meal again. We've ate at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Hollywood & Vine, Rainforest Cafe,... we've done the Hoop Dee Doo and the Luau. Any suggestions on a good place to dine this trip? We are staying at CSR.

Re: Best non-character meal

Our DS is 13 and loves Kona Cafe at Polynesian. Really great choices for appetizers , meals and the desserts are prepared infront of you by the pastry chef! They are wonderful! He also loves BOMA. It is a very exciting environment at the AKL with great choices for food! By the way, these are 2 of our favorites too, so there usually is no agrument!

Boma is a fantastic family place to eat! And if you're looking for an elegant place with the best cuisine at Disney - you gotta try Artist Point!

We love Cape May Cafe at Yacht and Beach Club. It's a short walk from Epcot and the seafood buffet is wonderful. They also have a great buffet for those who don't care for the sea!

Re: Best non-character meal

I second Ohana's and how about Rainforest Cafe in AK. I had a fantastic lunch there in December. My DS13 loves Tangeriene Cafe and Rose and Crown in Epcot.

Admittedly we don't have kids, but amongst our favourite non-character meals are Le Cellier, Artist Point and Boma.

Our favorites (the kids too!) include : The Yachtsman Steakhouse, Le Cellier & Mama Melrose. Oh don't forget the Brown Derby at MGM! Hope that helps.

Re: Best non-character meal

I second all of the previous places. Also, the 50s Prime Time Cafe at MGM the wait staff pretends that they are cousins and Mom is in the kitchen. Fun, and yet, no characters.
At Epcot, almost all of the restaraunts are charcter free.
AK - I would go to Rainforest Cafe, or make the trip to Boma.

Re: Best non-character meal

Epcot- Le Cellier
MGM- didn't care for the Brown Derby.I've been to the real one, and I guess I expected better ambiance; many screaming babies, running toddlers and loud diners who had too much from the bar-add this to the agonizingly slow service and I didn't give it another chance.
Resorts- Can't beat Artist's Point for presentation and a cusine unique unto itself.
Magic Kingdom- Tony's or Cindy's for dinner
