Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern I am trying to get a PS list together for our Disney trip. As I have said before my little sister is a really picky eater. However, I really love Thanksgiving dinner and Liberty Tree Tavern seems like the perfect place for me. I would like to do dinner there and I wondering if anyone else has tried it and what your thoughts are on it. I am hungry thinking about it already!

Re: Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern Just posted this on another thread (for those who have read both and wondering if it's deja vu'). Liberty Tree was very relaxing. I felt like we were sitting down to a home-cooked meal. The restaurant is such that it's not a big open room with lots of tables. So you're seated in an area where there are just a few tables nearby--thus a more relaxing atmosphere. The characters came by several times each. We will definitely be going there again for our trip in October.

Re: Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern We picked the LTT for our character meal last trip. It was just my husband and I. We both love Thanksgiving dinner. The food was very good (sponsored by Stouffers) and plentiful. The character interaction was great, even with us 2 adults by ourselves!

Re: Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern this is one of my must do's. My sister is picky too but she has no trouble picking out what she likes here. You get turkey Flanked Steake and ham. Mash potatoes, Mac and Cheese, A salad, Stffing. It's dinner anyone can eat.

Re: Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern You should definitely go there!! We ate there on one of the last nights that the Electrical Parade was being run, and after dinner we just moved out onto the porch and got a wonderful spot to see the parade. I'm sure you could do the same for the afternoon parade, or the evening one if that one's running. The food was really good, and as AmyJune said, even though it was just my DH and I the characters visited us too. Minnie made a big fuss over DH, so much so that Mickey came over and made a big fuss over me!! Goofy stopped by, and we have a great photo of us with Minnie, Mickey and Goofy, taken by our excellent waiter. Have a great time when you go!!

Re: Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern The food there was excellent and the characters were VERY responsive. They seated very promptly when the park was loaded to near capacity with hungry people. MY dad LOVED this character dinner and thought that it was his favorite as you didnt feel out of place at all. It seems like a more kid and adult friendly character dinner. It has a really nice atmosphere about it. The food and servers are excellent, but I will warn you that they only have two stalls in their bathrooms so...be prepared to wait in line for the bathroom there.

Re: Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern A different opinion...while I loved the atmosphere and the characters were wonderful here, the food was so-so at best and our service was terrible. The meats were dry, the stuffing wet, and dessert was unpalatable (if DH and 15yo won't eat it, it's gotta be bad) My DH is a *BIG* eater (1+1/2 large pizzas, whole chicken, 3 burgers, etc) and we never even got a second platter here. The children were so uninspired that they asked to go outside to see what was going on (Spectromagic) and enjoyed that much more than the dinner. Our server brought refills of drinks only after we'd flagged him down and asked for specific ones (little DDs had water, never got refilled b/c I didn't specify it) The best part about LTT for us was leaving and walking onto Spectromagic on the front porch. I'd had lunch here in the past that was wonderful, so maybe we'll try that again, but not dinner. It just wasn't enough of a value for us.

Re: Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern We dined here in 2002 and thought it was a so-so experience. Our service was horrible and the food was okay. Twice the characters skipped right over our table. Granted we are two adults, but we are just big kids and the characters were a reason to eat here. We got stuck at a table right near the kitchen door so there was a ton of traffic. I am willing to give this place another try just because of all the great reviews everyone else has given it, but it won't be soon.
