Reviews on 50\'s Prime Time? Hey all . . . my hubby is intent on trying 50's Prime Time in October . . . I thought about making a PS for it and keeping it secret from him (since he is hounding me so much about it, I thought I would tick him off and tell him no then surprise him and make him kiss up later )Any bad experiences . . . excellent experiences . . . anyone? Have read a few things about it, but never really read any reviews from recent visits or anything. Help me out here!!! I have until July 15th to decide, then I have to call to make all of my PS arrangements . . .

Re: Reviews on 50\'s Prime Time? We really liked it! There was a big group of us (6 adults 6 kids) and we all had lots of fun - but not for the shy. (With that being said, I've also read that "Mom" or your "brother" can usually tell when someone doesn't want to play along.) The food was great, service fun, and glad I finally went - can't wait to go again. I wrote about our experience at 50's PTC in my trip report (I don't know how to link it though) - if you want to read more about our particular experience ("Keepin up with the Jones'" in the WDW TR section).

Re: Reviews on 50\'s Prime Time? We LOVED it. It was so much fun. We went on May 23rd. The atmosphere is great, and the food is great too. I would highly recommend it.

Re: Reviews on 50\'s Prime Time? See . . . the shyness thing is the main factor (for me, anyways) . . . I am really kind of reserved (aside from when I am around friends and people I have known forever), but my husband is content to constantly make an a-s-s out of himself. So it is kind of a double edged sword . . . I can see DH playing along and I might a little too, but sometimes, I find that a little playing can be too much and I want to tell people to shut up . . . I just don't want to seem like a killjoy, when DH wants to do this so badly. I really wanted to do 'Ohana, but he said he would rather do 50's than that . . .

Re: Reviews on 50\'s Prime Time? Sarah, Although DH and I are both outgoing, DH is a little more gregarious than me. Everytime we have been at Prime Time, the servers have picked up on this and singled him out while pretty much leaving me alone. Once, he got to stand in the corner with his dunce cap on (I got to video tape that!). Once, he got to have his veggies given to him by "airplane". And the last time, he almost got no dessert, but his table mates (my friend and I ) came through for him and finished his veggies by the time our "uncle" came back.We have had a blast every time we've gone here. It is on our list for October again!

Re: Reviews on 50\'s Prime Time? Another question . . . I have heard that 50's Prime Time is sometimes added as an option for the Fantasmic! Dinner package (and ultimately, if we can, that is what we would like to do.) Has anyone had that option recently? I would LOVE to see Fantasmic! again, but don't feel like waiting in the amphitheater for 2 hours!!! That would make it all the more worthwhile for me to have that in the package!!! ![]()

Re: Reviews on 50\'s Prime Time? OK . . . I decided which PS's I am going to make . . . 50's is one!!! Thanks for your tips and advice about the shyness thing . . . ![]() I decided: The Plaza Restaurant (dinner - 1st full day), Crystal Palace (breakfast - second day), Donald's Breakfastosaurus (breakfast - third day, my birthday!) and 50's Prime Time (lunch - fourth day, as a surprise). I am still tossing around the possibility of another, but haven't decided yet. We have 5 full days, plus dinner time the day we arrive and breakfast/brunch the day we leave. Another thought of mine, was to leave my PS list as is and just plan to eat at different counter service places and resort restaurants we have never tried. As I recall, the ONLY place I remember eating while at WDW is Cosmic Ray's, The Lunching Pad and Casey's!!! (As well as Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD) I think we need to try something new!!! I also decided that my birthday dinner will take place at Beaches and Cream . . . after I saw a pic of the sundaes, that clinched it!!! ![]()
