Best, Quiet Restaurant in Downtown Disney?

My dh and I always take one night without the kids and go to dinner. We love the Bistro de Paris to give you an idea of what we like. We thought, since we are staying at OKW, we might try something in Downtown Disney. Any suggestions? TIA!

We loved Fulton's! It is a little pricey, but we really enjoyed it. If you go, ask to sit on the deck outside, overlooking DD. Just beautiful. But bring a jacket, as it gets a little cool outside.

Re: Best, Quiet Restaurant in Downtown Disney?

All the restaurants in DT Disney are pretty noisy. Your best bet for food quality and atmosphere would be upstairs at Wolfgang Puck but it is still a bustling place.

For somewhere quiet and truly different, with superb cuisine and interior and excellent wines not available anywhere else in the states (for the most part), I would recommend Jiko. Boma next door is a zoo but Jiko is elegant and more subdued. It is of course, the signature restaurant of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, nowhere near DT Disney.

I have had lovely meals at Portobello but it is also quite loud...on purpose I believe.

I haven't tried the new Todd English restaurant at the Swan or Dolphin, but that would be less frantic as well. The higher end, haute cuisine restaurants will have few or no kiddies as a rule.

Thanks all! I will look into those.

By the way, Sue, be sure to do a trip report on OKW since we will be there just a couple of months later!

My mom and I tried Fulton's in May (with Chezp and DH) for lunch. It was quiet for lunch, and my food was delicious.

The House of Blues has an area outside in the back of the restaurant called the VooDoo Garden. It is quiet and pretty. DH and I had a wonderful romantic meal there one night before Cirque.

I was thinking the same thing Denise - it was quiet in there, although never having eaten in there for dinner, I don't know what it's like in the evening.
