Best sit down meal values in WDW?

One of the best sit down meal values that we found was Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends. However, we have not tried many sit down meals. What other sit down meals are great values? On our next trip, we plan to try more sit down meals. I have heard some good things about 50's Prime Time; however, I do not know how expensive the meals are??

Re: Best sit down meal values in WDW?

We had dinner at the 50's Cafe and had a great time!"Uncle" Tim was a riot and we knew everyone in the room by the time we left. As long as you are willing to play along it can be alot of fun! On another note the food was just okay. I would not eat there again for the food but would definitely go for the entertainment. Uncle Tim had grown adults doing the airplane to get Susie to eat her last bite

Trail's End at Fort Wilderness immediately comes to mind- the food was excellent and the prices very reasonable.

Liberty Tree Tavern. We ate there earlier this month and loved it. The food was absolutely delicious and the character interaction was by far the best we have ever experienced at a character meal. LTT gets a very enthusiastic 2 thumbs up!

Trail's End at Ft. Wilderness is one of our favorites! The food is excellent and service is great. Great deal!

You can take a bus from the parking lot to that area, or take a boat from WL, Contemporary or MK.

It's my toddler's favorite place to eat 'cause he knows he'll be able to play at the petting zoo, ride a pony and attend the Chip and Dale Singalong that night! LOL

I would recommend Boma as a sit down meal. I think, considering the range of food on offer, much of it things that you can't usually get anywhere, it's excellent value. There isn't a buffet like it on property, that's for sure.

If you'd like to plan more closely the price of meals (like me!), I highly recommend going to allearsnet.com and look at the menus which list prices. That way you'll know to budget about $12 for a sandwich at places like the 50s PTC

Re: Best sit down meal values in WDW?

Our usuals that we do is lunch at 50's (which is great) and 1900 Park Fare. For lunch at 50's for us (family of 4) it usually costs us about $60.00 and for dinner at 1900 it is usually $100. Yes they are a bit expensive, I would still do them and do them every time that we are there. The food in both places is out of this world!

My vote for best sit down meal value goes to Boma I think you get some really unique and tasty dishes for the price. We always have reverse sticker shock, in that we can't believe how cheap it is for all that we just ate!

Re: Best sit down meal values in WDW?

I am in total agreement with Boma being one of the best values at WDW when you take into consideration what you're getting for your money and it's one of personal, must-do every trip faves. That being said though, you're still looking at a fairly hefty price tag for dinner ($23.99/adults & $9.99/kids). If you're looking for a sit-down place that is exceptionally reasonable with excellent food, I heartily recommend Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club resort. We had a wonderful meal here and were blown away by how inexpensive it was, particularly by WDW standards. Another cost-saving tip we use is to go to a sit-down restaurant for lunch instead of dinner. It's amazing how much you save doing this. For example, we like to go to Le Cellier for lunch and order the Cheddar Cheese Soup. They bring you so much pretzel bread to accompany it that it makes for an exceptionally delicious and satisfying meal for the very low price of $3.99 each (plus whatever beverages you might choose to order).

We liked Prime Time. We had a blast with our room. And actually our food was really good. Maybe it depends on what you order or something. We are going this year also.

We also like the Garden Grill.

For value? We find WCC a great buy and great entertainment. Breakfast is a great price; but dinnner isn't that bad of one.

After doing it last year for the first time, it's now a must-do for me too.

Yeah, but it includes dessert, non-alcoholic drinks and since it's a buffet, you can try as many different things as you like (and as much as you like), as opposed to a place where there's a menu and you can only choose one thing. I think when you look at it that way, it's a very good deal.
