Re: Fantasmic Package - Help me decide!! Mmmm...The Hollywood Brown Derby is AWESOME if you're willing to splurge a bit. And, because you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert with the package, if you plan it right, your dessert could be free! At least that way it's a little easier to talk yourself into it ![]() When we went I had potato crusted crab cakes for an appetizer, braised leg of lamb for my entree and a slice of famous grapefruit cake. It may possibly be one of the best meals I've had at WDW.

Re: Fantasmic Package - Help me decide!! If money's an issue, then I'd go for Hollywood and Vine, as you get a good quality, well priced buffet there. If money's not a major issue, then go for Mama Melrose's. We had an excellent meal there with the Fantasmic dining package in May.

Re: Fantasmic Package - Help me decide!! We just ate at The Brown Derby as part of the Fantasmic Package and absolutely loved it. My family was passing around plates like mad. "Taste this!" ![]() The food just melted in my mouth and the service was wonderful! It is pricey, but well worth it! Jill

[/ QUOTE ]I don't think they offer SciFi in the package, maybe someone else can confirm this. We loved H&V! We asked about french fries, the waiter said they didn't have them but he would go pick some up for us at another restaurant. How's that for service |

Re: Fantasmic Package - Help me decide!! We had not made a PS for the Fantasmic dinner package before leaving home. Thought we might just wait in line for the show. Well after a week in the parks we decided maybe we did not want to stand for an hour or more to get into Fantasmic. So that morning I called and made a PS at H&V. We figured it was the least expensive choice so we would take our chances on the food. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good. Lots of variety. Our waitress was very friendly. She even went to the back brought us the recipes we asked for. I would go to H&V again even if I wasn't going to see Fantasmic.

[/ QUOTE ] Kelly is right - the Sci-Fi Dine-in is not one of the three MGM restaurants that offer the Fantasmic! Dining Package. I've eaten at all three of them and my favorite by far was the Hollywood Brown Derby. We found the food, service and ambience to all be excellent. Hollywood and Vine was also very good but we had a much less than stellar experience at Mama Melrose's. Joy |

Re: Fantasmic Package - Help me decide!! Hi, we went to Hollywood & Vine for the Fantasmic dinner package during our last trip and we loved it. Hubby's already asking me if we can go back in December The food was excellent and there was so much choice. I'd recommend the turkey hotpot and the 3 berry cobbler.Annabel

Re: Fantasmic Package - Help me decide!! We ate at the Brown Derby with our package, and we wern't impressed with the food or the waitstaff, unfortunately. We had expected more, when compared to the other Disney resturants.

Re: Fantasmic Package - Help me decide!! Hi Susan! We are trying Mama Melrose for the first time in November. I know it's not much help to you but I thought I'd put my two cents in! ![]() I'm hoping the food is good. It's gotta be better than Tony's in the MK. Overpriced, and not very tasty! I'll report back in a few weeks! Have a great trip!

Re: Fantasmic Package - Help me decide!! Brown Derby. We loved the ambiance of the place. For the three of us it cost around $110. Gave DH a heart attack because this is what we spend on groceries every week. Go figure. We would do it all over again. ![]()
