Which restaurant at MGM???? I need to make a decision about the Fantasmic Dinner package - I just can't make up my mind which restaurant to make my ressie for!!!! I am calling tomorrow - as that is 90 days out for us - and I am finding myself going back and forth - between all 3! YIKES! I need help! I have not been to any of the restaurants that the package includes. I know everyone has their personal perferance....but if you have been to 2 or 3 of these restaurants - and you like one over the other - could you give me suggestions? Thanks! (and sorry for being so wimpy about the decision, I just want DH to have a wonderful time - each and every day - so that we can go back!) ![]()

Re: Which restaurant at MGM???? If your DH is a big eater, then Hollywood and Vine may be just the ticket. It's an All-You-Can-Eat buffet (and the least expensive of the three restaurants offering the package), plus the food is really yummy . Be prepared to sit in the far right side of the amphitheatre, though, no matter which restaurant you choose, and you don't get any better seats by choosing the most expensive restaurant.

Re: Which restaurant at MGM???? It all depends on what type of a meal you and DH enjoy! Brown Derby is the nicest place at MGM with excellent food but can sometimes be a bit to formal for many DH's! ![]() If DH likes nice food and a more elegant atmosphere this is a great place. If DH is more concerned about the amount and variety of food Hollywood & Vine is a good option. Standard Buffet food but of good quality. If you like to sit down and be served but not into the more upscale Brown D than Mama Melrose is the place. We often don't want to take the extra time that Brown D takes so often opt for H & V as a nice meal we can get in and out of fairly fast. Whatever one you choose I'm sure DH will enjoy it, so just relax and have a good time!! Tim

Re: Which restaurant at MGM???? We had a ps for 5:00pm for H&V and we were out of there by around 6:30 or so to make it for the show . oh and btw the seats on the far right seemed to be fine although I have never been to the show and sat in the middle so I have no comparison. Also the food at H & V was very good!!!!!

Re: Which restaurant at MGM???? Great advice from Tim! We've only eaten at The Brown Derby and we loved it! It is pretty expensive, but the food is well worth it. We will be eating at Mama Melrose's in a few weeks just for variety, but I will definitely be back to The Brown Derby. I'm not really big on buffets (outside of breakfast) so we haven't been to H&V. Let us know what you decide! Jill

Re: Which restaurant at MGM???? We just did the package at Hollywood & Vine and I thought they had alot of food choices at the buffet and thought the food to be very good as well. I had picky eaters with me and there seemed to be something for everyone. The kids really liked the ice cream and dessert bar. It was a good deal for the money. Oh, and near the entrance, there was an awesome huge chocolate sculpture of Malificent and Mickey encased in a glass display. The waitress said it cost about $1,000 to make, and sells for over $3,000!!! ![]()

Re: Which restaurant at MGM???? We ate at H&V on our one and only Fantasmic experience and really enjoyed it. DH is a *BIG*, but particular (not picky, just likes *good* food) eater and he declared it the best buffet he'd had at WDW, which is saying a lot. The food was all excellent and the price is right!

Re: Which restaurant at MGM???? I've eaten at all three of the MGM restaurants that offer the Fantasmic dining package. We had the best experience at the Hollywood Brown Derby - fabulous food and wonderful service. We didn't have a very good meal at Mama Melrose's - the appetizers and desserts were fine but our main courses were pretty much inedible. We've done Hollywood and Vine twice. The first time, we had a very good meal but unfortunately, on the second occasion last month, this was far from true. I think perhaps it was because of the hordes of people all eating at the same time. We had to wait about half an hour for our table even though we had a priority seating. The food was okay but nothing to get excited about this time around. Joy
