Tony\'s or Kona

Which would you do for dinner? We'll be at the MK that day and we're staying at the WL so these both would be convenient for us. We like both the menu's but which is better?

I'm afraid that I haven't been to either, but I'd vote for Tony's because that menu always looks MUCH better to me.

Pretty different cuisine but I will tell you we were highly impressed with our experience at Tony's for dinner in October and plan to return again in December!!

Of the two, I'd pick Tony's. We've had a couple of good meals there now and at least you don't have to leave the park.

Re: Tony\'s or Kona

Tough, but fun, choice! Are you planning to leave the park for a mid-day break? If so, then I'd go with Tony's, to minimize the coming and going, but if you think you'll be at the MK all day, Kona would be a nice break

Re: Tony\'s or Kona

i have eaten at both and they are very different, IMO.
I like them both but i think i like Tony's just a tad more than Kona.
Tony's tends to be overlooked so at times can be pretty quiet, if you hit it right.
Kona can be loud and crowded.
i'd go for Tony's, my DH says so too.

Re: Tony\'s or Kona

I would definitely go with Kona! It is one of our favorite places! The food is really good. The Beef Teriyaki Steak is so yummy! It is at the Polynesian which is another plus since we love the Poly so much.

Tony's is just ok for us. We haven't been there in a couple of years. We used to go most every trip but the food is just nothing that great for us.

Also, my DH just walked up and read your post. He said that it is not a hard choice at all. He said Kona of course!

Good luck deciding!!

Re: Tony\'s or Kona

I've never eaten at Kona so I can't offer too much of an opinion, but Tony's is one of my absolute favorite places to eat!

Re: Tony\'s or Kona

Both are excellent -- I would probably lean towards Tony's with Kona as a back-up -- depending on hours at Tony's - or availability.

Re: Tony\'s or Kona

We ate at Kona last year and really loved it...and since reading this thread plan to add Tony's to our list of places to try.

Now I have to rework my plans...FUN!

I'm also glad about hearing all the good reviews of Tony's. We'll be eating lunch there in August!
