You should be using the insert image box (the one with the mountain in it and the sun/moon in the upper right corner). Once you open it, it asks for the url of your image...

Here's the url for this pic...

So I put it in the box to add an image and I get;



NOW I hit the ENTER key and get a couple of spaces under this and open the ADD IMAGE box again, adding the URL for my countdown timer, which is

And I get



Hit the ENTER key again and put a couple of spaces under that one and open the ADD Image box again, adding the URL for the next countdown timer;

http://www.mousehousemagic.com/ticke...711153011i.gif

thus...



By putting a line return in there, and opening a new box each time, you should not overwrite the existing picture...

Thanks Bill. You are a patient man. I think I explored that option, but I thought it would just copy a still of the image, and not actually count down. So I've done it. Correct? Thanks again.

I have been trying to load a timer for some time now. I have cracked it now thanks to this useful bit of information.

I'm brand new here, so perhaps I haven't looked in the right place for my answer, but I'll be proactive and ask anyway! I'm trying to add a graphic ticker (from an outside site) to my signature. The graphic comes up just fine, but the PassPorter site is telling me that my signature can only be 7 lines long. I can see that other member's sigs are quite a bit longer than 7 lines, lol! Any ideas on what I may be missing?

Those sigs that have more than 7 lines are older ones, ones already in place before the new rules. When they edit them, they will have to be trimmed also. One suggestion is to minimize hard returns, let them autowrap unless you just have to have a return there. Another suggestion is to use TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a Tiny URL to shorten the length of http addresses...

Pleae check the following, these are the most common reasons it doesnt work...

Troubleshooting Tips

• Be sure you have information in your signature. Without something in your signature -- even just your name -- the countdown timer can't be put in it. You can edit your signature in My Home > Edit Signature.

• Does your countdown seem off? Make sure you don't have the month and day mixed up in your options.

• Do not use the ampersand (&) anywhere in your ticker (i.e., the event or end message) -- if you do, it will not display.

OK, I missed the thing about the "&", but I fixed that, and it still isn't working???

Oops, forgot I had to re-check the box that said to add a timer again when I went back and re-edited. I'm good now. Thanks!
