| Virtual memory help HELP!! I keep getting the message that either I'm running low on virtual memory or I don't have enough to run a program (in this case a CD game for Abby). What the heck is virtual memory and what can I do with it? The computer has a default setting (I don't know how I even found this but I did) but should I change it, can I change it without crashing the computer? Thanks for any kind of help.

| Darlene, you probably have too many programs running in the background. Try rebooting your computer and see if that helps. If that doesn't work, you should probably look at your control panel and reduce the number of programs you have running at start up.

| I would also clear out the temporary internet files and free up some disk space, or 'system tools' then 'disk cleanup'.
