I have seen people post videos on here before. They may have all been youtube videos, I'm not sure. How can I post a video whether it is a youtube video or not? I tried last night in the testing grounds forum but all I was able to do was post a link to a youtube video. I couldn't figure out how to post the actual video. I am not computer savvy at all. Thanks for the help!
If you copy and past the web page URL for a YouTube video, the boards will automatically insert the video in your post (it's not actually a copy of the video, but a graphic that links back to YouTube).
Unless you made the video, it's not appropriate to post the "actual video." Videos are covered by copyright - you can post a link (which takes you to the original), but copying and re-posting the original is not appropriate.
If you want to upload a personal video, it has to be in the .mov format. The board is not set up to accept any other video formats. If you're using another format you'd upload the file to an image upload site, then link to it in your post here.

Thanks for the info! The video I was wanting to post is a video I made with my iPhone so no copyright issues. As far as format, I am very much not tech savvy so... If it is in the right format how do I upload it to the board? Thanks again!
You'd create a post, and use the Manage Attachment option, which you'll find if you scroll down a bit in the Post New Thread or Reply to Thread window. If you're editing an existing post, you'd have to select Go Advanced, rather than using Quick Reply.
Once you've clicked Manage Attachment a new window will open, with the typical Browse for File option you use for any file upload.
The file will only show as a link for a download - we can't display the movie as a graphic in the post.
Please note that the maximum size for a MOV file is 390K, which is a pretty small movie.
