You can do either, but the results will be different, depending upon whether the person viewing the thread is using "flat" or "threaded" mode to view the boards. For people viewing in "flat" mode, it doesn't matter which post you reply to - your post will simply appear at the end of the topic. For people viewing in "threaded" mode, your post will follow whichever post you clicked "reply" to. So, to ensure that everyone sees your reply as intended, click "Reply" on whichever post you're directly responding to. In other words, if you want to respond directly to the questions/comments in the first post, then click Reply on that first post. If you want to comment or follow-up on someone else's reply, then click Reply on that comment. |
