Hello, I was wandering if the community feels its a good idea to book my plane tickets now for our honeymoon to WDW departing on 8/18/08 - 8/26/08. We want to fly Jetblue out of Boston, MA and the best price for a non-stop flight I could find was actually Jetblue's website at $249 per person. I have a feeling that this is a really good fare and not shure if I should take a chance and see if the price drops even more? So what does everybody think? Thanks in advance, Dave
P.S. where staying at the Boardwalk Inn ( water view) and can't wait. I actually popped the question to Colleen while we were watching Illuminations at Epcot this past April
Is it a far drive to Manchester, NH for you? I've read that people can get cheaper fairs through that airport.
If you feel that the JetBlue price is a good one then go ahead and book it. Just make sure you shop around a little first.
Are you aware of historical airfares? Have you been watching them? It seems like, for the most part, the best airfares come out 3 to 4 months before your trip dates (unless it is a holiday, of course). I suggest using Airline tickets, Discount Airfare, Helping you find Cheap Flights At FareCompare to research and make your decision. I know I can get nervous about waiting too long!
Welcome to the boards, and have a wonderful honeymoon!!

I would wait, and see if you can get cheaper airfares, do you have southwest out of your airports? sign up for ding, you also will get credit if you book early and the price goes down. I am not sure if Jet Blue does that or not.
Thankyou everybody for your responses, actually Manchester Airport is 10 min. away but last time we went to Disney The airfare out of Boston (Airtran) was almost $200 cheaper per person for non-stop round trip. But I will do some more checking, I guess I got a little excited because I thought that was a good price. I payed the same amount for round trip on airtran about 4-5 months out (and jetblue has nicer seating arangements)
Dave
I live near Boston (much closer to Logan than Manchester or Providence) and we LOVE JetBlue. I think $249 is high. We got flights for next month for $158 round trip. When we went last fall we paid under $220 round trip. So I would wait.
JetBlue will give you a credit if your fare goes down. On our fall trip we ended up with a $100 credit which we're using next month. I think the credit had to be used in a year.
Awsome, Thankyou- thats what I needed ta hear. I also just signed up for farecompare.com e-mail alert system.
Thankyou everybody you have all been very helpfull
Dave
You might also sign up for Yapta. It keeps an eye on the prices for you and lets you know when the prices drop so you can request a credit!

Now, on to answering your question... I think you should book it now, I'm finding comparable rates out of Philadelphia for the same time frame. ($99 one-way on one carrier... $239 round-trip on another).
Welcome & congrats!!! I live on the west coast & got round trip fare (Seattle to Ft. lauderdale or Orlando)) for $230 incl taxes on United. So, IMHO if you wait as some have already suggested 3 or 4 mths before your dates, the fares will prob. drop. Right now it's too far ahead. I sign up for travelocity fare watcher to track fares.
Good luck.
August isn't a big Orlando time, so I have a feeling the prices will be on sale at some point. From NY during that time we can get 99 one way. I have a feeling it could drop at some point, but if you get credit for it, then I'd definitely book it. The only thing you have to be sure about is the dates because cancelling is a witch.
Welcome to the boards. We fly Southwest out of Manchester every year. This year we have booked our flight for our 6/30-7/8 vacation and are paying $398 for two people round trip. We fly out of Boston for many other trips and find that the ease of the Manchester airport is so nice. That being said Southwest currently only has prices out to 8/3. Good luck and enjoy your trip - Boardwalk is our favorite resort!
