I am feeling very grumpy towards the airline industry right now. Sorry, just a little rant/tantrum. I absolutely hate booking flights from Denver to Orlando! Hate it hate it hate it! I don't understand why nearly all the flights out are so late in the day! GRRRR!!!!! Ok rant over, I swear.
I have been putting off buying airfare for our trip b/c its been so gosh darn expensive and I can't find a pair of flights I like on an airline I like. Looks like we're going to be flying one airline in and another home. I think I may have found a flight out I like, but I've never flown US Airways, anyone have any opinions on it? Like it, hate it? They seem to be the only airline that flies out before mid-afternoon, or fly non-stop in a reasonable time frame. (at least for us and what we're looking for)
I think we're going to fly Southwest home, we like them and they have a return flight at a time that allows us to enjoy the last little bits of our vacation. Thanks for listening to my rant, I knew I could count on my PP friends to sympathize

You're not alone!!! A friend at work just today was telling me how frustrated they were that their flight back to Orlando from Denver doesn't leave until 9 pm Denver time. I guess it was supposed to leave like 4 hrs earlier, and they pushed it back. Sorry the times stink!

I just booked our friends (who are coming for spring break) airfare and I ended up doing one ways each way. Getting them here was no problem, but getting them home was ridiculous! I ended up using one airline for the way down and a different airline for their trip home.
I have to be honest, I never cease to be amazed at the lack of choice on flights in the States, compared to what we have over here in Europe. I always expect to see far more and have been very surprised in the past at how hard it can sometimes be to fly from one major city to another...
I know what you mean. We aren't getting home til close to 11 p.m with 2 kids and we didn't have many options. Heck, we have to be at the airport at 4 a.m inorder to get to Orlando by 5 p.m and it was that choice or to arrive at WDW at midnight and then try to settle in. Either way, we are messed up.
I feel for you. We are having the same type of problems.
I feel your pain flying from Denver! We only fly United or Southwest from Denver to Orlando because of the times. It looks like you are going in February, correct? I just threw in the dates on UAL.com of Feb 11 - Feb 18 and got $270 r/t leaving Denver at 8 am and arriving at MCO at 1:30. This is the flight we always take on United as it gets us there in the early afternoon.
At the rate airlines change flight times these days, you might easily end up with the airline cancelling flights and putting you onto another flight that will get you there at a more convenient time.
That's another thing I hate about trying to select flights that will get you where you want to be at the time you prefer...you never know anymore when the airline will decide to rearrange them for you.
