I just saw the new schedules, the tickets aren't crazy high. The best part for me is the return non-stop flight was changed from early morning to 4:50 pm. That means 4 or 5 more hours in the parks. Now I have to decide when to buy, now or wait ?
If you're going w/ Southwest, buy now. They don't charge a change fee to get a better price. Just make sure you and your travelling party can use the credits within a year because they are no longer transferrable. That stopped about a year ago.
Just booked for our October trip, I had a free ticket but had to have it reissued as I misunderstood the whole have to use it instead of just book it. But still $50 was less expensive than a whole ticket.
I wouldn't wait at all unless $$$ is an issue. The flights are just going to rise IMHO. Less than 2 weeks ago my flight was $129 and when I went to book today it was $144. Fifteen bucks doesn't sound like a lot but there's 6 of us so it adds up quick. Good luck with your decision!
The one downfall of rebooking with a better price later, is if you never find a way to use those saved funds. I'm in that position. I have about $204 in funds that have to be used by June 2 and it's not likely to happen. Wasted money. So think about your future flight needs carefully before planning your trip now.
My dad's flight down isn't bad at $110 (one way PHL to MCO) but the return for all of us is $160-183! Going to watch it over the next few days and prob decide on Wed if we just want to bit the bullet and buy.
The fares were not nearly as bad as I feared! Unfortunately, I could only book our departing flight since we leave Nov. 4, but I was very happy to see $110 one-way -- considering round-trip flights on other airlines are over $500. I was afraid the fares would be in the $200 range. So now I wait for the next couple of months to open up.
I would book right away if you can live with the fare. I'd say it's much more likely for fares to go up in the coming months than down. Good luck!
I went to book our airfare today and use a credit I have with SW but they did away with the best non stop flight times and prices went up. It was better for us to use a National airport (closer to our house) rather than BWI and loose the $100 credit to take a cheaper flight with Airtran. I hate paying for bags but the flight times and cost just did not work out. :-(
I am with the others, if you are taking SW then book now not later.
We finally booked our coming home flight on SW today.......kept watching it (we always book each way separately).......and lo and behold today it was $30 less per person than it was yesterday!!!
Hi there fellow lou'a villian....I say, if you can, go on and book while prices are current....they probably will only go UP!
I am a bit fatrthe away than you until our trip...lucky you!
