Uggh airline ticket prices going up and up

I am an frequent flyer but I can not believe the cost of airline tickets these days!! I am looking into going to mco in August from BTV and the price is over 150 more than it was a year ago. I know that gas prices have gone up, but holy moley!! I could have gone school vacation for the same cost!!

The prices are CRAZY!! I am thankful we bought our tickets a few months ago because they have gone up in price almost 70 per ticket since January. Doesn't the airlines realize that we need our Disney Fix.

Tell me about it! We just booked to come back to the States in December and the fares have gone up by about $620 per person, compared to when we last booked a year or so ago.

The airlines do know you need your disney fix that is why they know people will pay the price. Hope things will come down for you usually I find once I book the tickets then the price will come down.

I have seen the prices go up too! I am still looking for a flight to come home on June 23rd for 4 people. Airtran's prices are outrageous- and SW doesn't have a good selection of times- UGH! (7:30am depart and 2 connecting flights)

The date of coming home is still pretty far out- so I am waiting VERY patiently!
Flying out on June 14th- I was able to snag $114.00 from SW times 4! The cheapest flight I have seen in a long time! Maybe AirTran can do the same thing!

Or at least come down so I can snag it- I guess I am being unreasonable! LOL!

Plan on costs to continue to rise through the summer-I see no relief on fuel costs going south. One way or the other they will fill the planes at high prices even if it means they cancel other flights.

We usually save money and get to MCO earlier by flying out of BDL (Hartford CT) instead of BVT (Burlington). Even though it's a 3.5 hour drive to CT instead of 1.5 to Burlington

I have a convention event on 12/1 and was planning on leaving 11/29 and staying at BLT, eight months to go and I purchased one way tickets on United from Newark to Orlando for $121 one way each for two of us. I never purchase this early, but fares are crazy high and I don't think December 2012 is going down.
Now I have to hope my wait list for 12/1 comes thru. I have 11/29, 11/30, and 12/2 booked at BLT Lakeview studio.

I am also biting my nails about these prices. Going to be leaving from Newark and returning to Philly. Maybe even Philly round trip. Either way, it's pretty bad. I heard the best time to buy is 3.5-4 months before your trip but who knows.

I haven't flown to WDW in years now. We used to pay less than $100 each for a round trip flight in the early 2000s. When those glory days were gone, we paid about $130. Now the least I've seen is about $260.
