If you take a look see, PVD is a non stop 2.5 hour flight. When I have looked up Logan, it is more like a 5-6 hour flight with a layover.
That's where and how we went last year - non-stop from PVD. I hate Boston on a good day so trying to get into Logan to start a vacation? No thank you. I much prefer the smaller Providence airport and the shorter plane ride.

I, too, have found the best fares on Tuesdays, Wednesdays. I really haven't looked hard at Saturdays until we booked this trip for September. My boss has decided that we can't extend our vacations onto 2 calendar weeks, ie must be Saturday to Friday. Our Saturday am flight ended up being competitive with the Tuesday and Wednesday price. but the only one was very early in the am (6:45) .
Good luck with the flight hunting, Darlene!

As with the others we have always flown tuesday to tuesday or wednesday. This trip we leave on a weds at 6am and return tuesday at 11pm. it also helps that we are dvc and weekends are higher in points so we like to only book one.
happy planning!!!! Glad everyone is doing well!
