If your looking to rent a car for your visit check out the "wildcar" special at thrifty. For the price of a compact car you can have basically whatever car they choose (compact and up, meaning you could get a compact or you could get something bigger) guaranteed to fit 5 people and 3 suitcases. I was looking into it myself, but I'm not sure how it would work with my arriving by train.
