Now that we've decided we're going to make a trip happen this year, I'm just revisiting my thread to learn again about RAC. Thanks again to eveyone who has responded and for the tips/times/etc. Especially this one

Quote:
One thing I will add, even if you do not use DME to go back to the airport, you may still want to provide them with your return flight information. The last time I was at the resort they printed my boarding pass for me and it was in an envelope on my door the morning of checkout, all I had to do was check my bags with RAC.
As it's getting closer to the time I can buy my return airfare (next Monday the 4th), I was starting to wonder where I would get our boarding passes from - whether RAC would give them to us or if we would have to figure out how to get them at the airport. Since we're using DME, that's great to know that once I give them everything, they'll do it for us. One less thing for me to worry about (but one more thing for me to make note of so I know what's happening and when )

The lobby concierge will also print your boarding passes if you ask them.

We don't take DME back to the airport either - and we always try to use the RAC.
It's separate from DME, they have nothing to do with each other.
Darlene, you have it correct. We always try to leave MCO on as late a flight as possible. We check our luggage early in the AM, then go to the parks, then get to the airport in the evening. It's nice not to have to worry about going back to the resort and getting our luggage from bell services.
