DME and separate departures

Sorry if this is a dumb question...but our next vacation is going to have some new transportation issues for us. The majority of us will be heading down Friday night, but DH will be arriving saturday afternoon. Our check-in will be Saturday, but the reservation will be in my Dad's name. Is it possible for DH to take the DME by himself even though his name is not on the reservation?

My next question deals with departure...We will be checking out of AKL the following Saturday, DH is leaving and heading home, while the rest of us are moving to AoA. Can he take the DME by himself while the rest of us transfer hotels?

Thanks for any input you have!!

Everyone in the room should be named on the reservation. Thats so they can tell who is in the room and who has resort priveledges. There is no problem with different arrivals and departures with DME, you just tell them what each person's flight number and time is, and they set up the pick up.

Thanks for the info! The reservation is through RCI so my parents are the main names on the reservation - I think we may get added as staying in the room, but it's not "officially" in either of our names - that was why I was concerned

If you all want to use DME, have EMH privileges, room keys, etc...everyone needs to have their names added to the reservation. It works a bit differently at WDW than at other RCI timeshares (where they don't require everyone's names).

Thanks! We've done it before...just have never split up for the DME. There are fees to change the name on the reservation, so my parents always put it in their name and add us to the room. We have a 2 bdr at AKL and a 1bdr at OKW so there's more than enough room to list everyone that will be staying in each place. We are doing the YES program, so our tickets are separate. Whether we've gone through RCI or Disney, we've always traveled as a group for DME. I wasn't sure if you were allowed to travel separately if your name was not the main one listed on the reservation. I really appreciate all your insight!
